FBI Director Kash Patel said Monday that he had opened an investigation into the Signal group text chats that Minnesota residents are using to share information about federal immigration agents’ movements, launching a new front in the Trump administration’s conflict there with potential free speech implications.
Patel said in an interview with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson that he wanted to know whether any Minnesota residents had put federal agents “in harm’s way” with activities such as sharing agents’ license plate numbers and locations.

There are limits on the first amendment. And I bet the argument they're making here goes away if it is shown there was indeed a seditious conspiracy.
It was Walz who contacted Trump, imho the timing interesting since it was after Cam Higby's expose of the Signal chats.
Had an idiot acquaintance of mine who was all about Signal a couple years ago, how secure it was and record of your conversations after a time threshold yada yada...
While good for hiding things from your wife/hubby etc... I told him he was full of crap, all electronic and written words can be tracked and restored. I think I will text him on the caveman app on my phone and see how he is...

Why annouce this investigation?
Seems like you can catch more bad guys if you don’t.
Sad part is, all they’re probably doing is following DataRepublican and others who have investigated and documented these chats over the past week or two.
But yeah, I too am sick of investigations telling us of wrongdoings and law breaking of dems that have and evidently never will be held accountable. It seems like mocking us at this point.

Hmmm, what did President Trump and criminal Walz discuss...inquiring minds want to know. Humbly suggest a pardon begged by Walz to stay out of prison as he knows where the bodies are buried.
To convince the public that they are doing something.
It is ordinary propaganda from the folks who want to look like they are "our guys". The problem is that nobody cares anymore about "investigations". Most of the time they result in nothing but more "strongly worded letters".
Announcements of arrests and charges are what matters.
To me all these endless investigations are busy work...They can say hey we are investigating with no final outcome...
There seems a lack of will to go after the big fish. I.e., the big fish don't get arraigned and tried let alone go to prison.
A lot of hearings; a lot of warning letters; a lot of alleged crime - but no indictments, arrests and prison and/or civil action against the big fish.
Big fish would include to name a few: Soros', Clintons, Holder, Obama, Biden crime family, Clapper, Brennan, many dem governors and mayors, many corporate media owners and producers.
Think the Trump Administration is all bark and no bite...
While many things many be plainly obvious, sound legal cases will have to be made in each one, especially against high-ranking officials. Each case will have to be solid, airtight, with indisputable evidence. Evidence that, when show to average citizens, is compelling and convincing.
If that approach is not followed, we'll experience a Banana Republic-style approach like one we've never seen before, the next time Dems are in power. They'll attempt to arrest everyone remotely tied to the Trump administration, family members and any high-profile supporters. Things will get ugly, fast.
It is almost a certainty that Higby was provided the info by the FBI and was the chosen venue for the exposition
