RFK Jr.’s MAHA movement becomes wild card for GOP in 2026

The Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement is a wild card ahead of this year’s midterm elections.

President Trump and parts of the Republican Party have aligned his Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement with MAHA and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., hoping to boost GOP prospects.

MAHA helped give Trump an important ally in Kennedy, a longtime Democrat before he endorsed Trump and joined his administration. That gave Republicans access to a new group of voters, which could be key to helping lift the party in a year where Trump’s ratings are underwater.

Trump’s overall job approval rating now stands at 39 percent, according to a Jan. 16 CNN poll. He has the support of the Republican base, but not many others. Trump’s job approval stands at just 29 percent among Independents.

“If you look across the United States, some of the most popular Republican policies that have come out since the ‘24 elections have been things like SNAP reform, have been things like school lunch reform… things that have come out of this MAHA movement” and championed by Kennedy, said Jeff Hutt, a spokesperson for the Make America Healthy Again political action committee.

MAHA voters are not necessarily strong Republican primary midterm voters, Hutt said, and don’t necessarily support Trump at all costs. For instance, the MAHA PAC endorsed Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who’s facing a Trump-backed primary challenger in 2026.

“The Republican Party is going to have to really give those people, or express a reason to those people, why they should come out and vote, and I think that’s going to be their big challenge,” Hutt said.

I love that they have come up with a realistic pyramid which looks like what we ate...and my parents ate..I'm 82. Think about it...may grandparents had a cow, pigs and chickens...all protein rich foods...They churned their own butter...

They grew their own vegies and the animals provided the fertilizer. Meals were balanced...in summer you had fresh vegies and fruits. Come winter...they had canned vegies and fruits.

Let’s hope he bans Bill Gates’ Apeel spray on veggies and fruit. It doesn’t wash off.

Nothing like eating plastic skins that contain nutrition.

“I love that they have come up with a realistic pyramid which looks like what we ate.”

I was listening to the Left and they still spout an INSANE claim that beef causes diabetes when one’s endocrine system (which is what malfunctions in diabetics) does not even know that a person ate beef, as it only has to work when a person eats protein and especially carbs.

By the way, how does cutting per-person beef consumption in half since 1950 square with diabetes going up 10-fold? Maybe some of the Zeepers have a theory?

I think it will be Trumps new health care bill. Voters gotta know Obamacare isn’t working. It can’t without big subsidies so will they go for another answer or blame Trump of cutting it off?

What a joke. Sick joke.

While most are enamored with maha and snail’s pace/token actions that should have occurred nearly a year ago...

...no one has been held to account for plandemic crimes and many still hold their jobs.

But it’s Ok:

Under rfk jr they can now get 7 weight loss drugs to look better while health stats continue to degrade with poor personal choices, having totally failed to address core problems. /s

A JD Vance - RFK, Jr. ticket would be tough to beat. Just keep Rubio away from the POTUS position, .... far, far, away.

Thanks so much for posting. I’m 82...and still drink whole milk. One of my favorite snacks is dunking Graham Crackers in milk.
