Knew it was coming, but that was fast. RIP. He made a difference.
He told us he was going. But still... wow.

Presuming his faith was genuine, he’s in a far better place.
X had the first announcement. So sad. May he RIP. As a “Tina the Tech Writer” during most of my professional career, he was spot on about the tech industry.
Funny story. He had made fun of corporate culture for awhile until the firm he worked for recognized themselves in the cartoons. They gave an ultimatum, cartoons or corporate and he chose cartoons.
You wonder why they didn’t change the culture.
I enjoyed his Dilbert comic strip and was saddened when papers pulled it.
I wasn’t even aware he wrote all those books until reading this letter. He was more productive than a lot of the people so bitterly critical of him.
I heard his ex-wife, Shelley, read that statement this morning. Hit like a punch to the gut the same way as when Rush Limbaugh's wife announced his death. I will miss the simultaneous sip with my Adams family brothers and sipsters .
Hopefully Shelley or Owen Gregorian or Greg Gutfeld or Dr. Drew will keep Scott's legacy going.

What is with the apostrophe in his name? The grammatical rule is really simple. “Adams” is a name, or more than one Adam. “Adam’s” is something that belongs to Adam.

It is horrible to know that your days are numbered, and to even know within a few days when it will happen. It was gut wrenching to see the posts, so I didn’t open them, just read the headlines. Sad.
When I had read how his ex wife said he only had a few days left I was hoping it wasn’t true but it was :( Scott was a beautiful wonderful human being he will be missed forever

Adams worked as an IT network engineer at their office campus at 2600 Camino Ramon in San Ramon, California.
I briefly knew his co-worker who was the model for the character "Alice" (real first name Anita). She was generally friendly, a bit of a loner, and an avid studier of catalogs for products she liked. A family member was in the direct sales business, and Anita was a customer for a time. Anita regularly got her nails done by a friend of another family member, which is how we got introduced to her.
I had one book by Adams, and Anita signed the page that was devoted to "Alice."
