Vanity Fair Accidentally Makes Case to Facilitate Trump Deal-Making in Greenland
Newsbusters ^ | January 11, 2026 | DUmmie FUnnies

News flash for Vanity Fair magazine and leftist Icelandic singer Björk!

An independent Greenland would be several orders of magnitude easier for the United States to bring into the fold than if it were to remain part of Denmark. And yet this is what Björk is demanding with Vanity Fair acting as her cheerleader.

You can read this hilariously misguided effort by Vanity Fair (and Björk) to somehow stop Trump in Tuesday's story by Kahina Sekkai, "Björk Has a Plan to Save Greenland From Donald Trump."

OOOPS! You...you mean Greenland getting independence from Denmark makes it much EASIER for Trump to make a deal with an independent Greenland?

Way to publish that the one warhead is in the Capital City. And way to misspell “Nuuk.” (sic). Yes, I’m kidding.

Evidently, Greenland would first have to be independent if Trump wanted to make a specific deal with its people. For now, however, it is still Danish territory. Denmark is one of America’s closest and most loyal allies.

America cannot take it by force because America represents law and order, a philosophy Trump has pushed very hard.

It’s the same with Russia. Why would Russia be allowed to take Alaska by force, as it has often said it is willing to do? Alaska is American territory. Greenland is Danish territory. Borders must be respected - according to conservative values.

There is nothing complicated here.

Additionally, America signed a deal with Denmark in 1951 that allows the United States to install military bases across Greenland and as many US troops as needed. That deal is still valid today.

Therefore, there are no problems whatsoever as long as Law and Order continue to be respected and not violated.

Trump will never attack an allied nation. Instead he will try to make a deal. That’s fine with me.

Found this on Facebutt, no idea if it is made up, true or somewhere in between, so caution advised:

Pay attention. This is not idle chatter and it is not a joke.
Denmark and Greenland envoys do not walk into the White House unless something serious is on the table. They certainly do not follow it up with Marco Rubio meetings unless there is a strategic objective already moving through channels.
This is classic Trump. Quiet leverage first. Strategic pressure second. Public resolve last.
Greenland is not about real estate. It is about Arctic dominance, energy security, missile defense, shipping lanes, rare earth minerals, and cutting off Russia and China at the knees before they lock down the North Atlantic and Arctic routes.
Whoever controls Greenland controls the high ground of the next century.
Russia knows it. China knows it. That is why they are furious already.
For decades, America talked while our adversaries moved. Trump flips that script. He moves while others talk. Then he tells the world exactly what is happening.
If this deal gets done, it redraws the global chessboard overnight. NATO security hardens. Chinese expansion stalls. Russian Arctic ambitions shrink fast.
America First means thinking 20 years ahead, not reacting 20 years too late.
This is leadership. This is strategy. This is strength.
Time to acquire Greenland. 🇺🇸🇬🇱

If Greenland was independent of Denmark, who would pay for the free healthcare and education?

Take a glass of French wine and relax a bit…
You seem so tense lately. Don’t let the French so easily destabilize you.

I’m confused. If we can put our military there as we determine, why do we need to have ownership?

The GPF. Well, ya, that imaginary for right now.

We would have to pick up the tab for a year (exchange rate equivalent right now of just under $500,000,000) or two as that is what they get from Denmark and according to the agreements they have already made they would be fully independent (1979,2009) IF they could find a way to fund themselves.

Alaska has the Alaska Permanent Fund (APF). This is where the citizens get a mineral dividend every year. Greenland could begin making mineral rights contracts with the US and make more for their territory and the people in a short amount of time.

57,000 people. Really? The capital has about a 1/3rd of the population. It’s hard to see what the value is here. Denmark would be better off to just submit a change-of-address form and call it done.
