I in no way understand the draw of trying to claim Greenland. At face value it is a very stupid idea.

I did not know Denmark HAD a military to defend Greenland. Is that whole act was about? To see if any European country would defend Greenland in case of an effort to attack?

I have nothing against Danish soldiers. So in the unlikely event that we invade, I hope we drop leaflets first. Ask them to surrender, to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.

However, I have mixed feelings about the USA aggressively acquiring Greenland.

This is ridiculous speculation by the media. It will not happen.

1. If the USA invaded Greenland it would invoke Article V of NATO and all of NATO would be required to fight the invasion.

2. It would be political suicide for any president be it GOP, DEM, or Independent.

I would very much like to have Greenland via mutual negotiations and money to Denmark the inhabitants of Greenland if the inhabitants of Greenland want this.
