n the wake of an ICE shooting that killed a woman in Minneapolis on Wednesday, academics have joined the chorus of left-wing radicals seeking to abolish the federal law enforcement agency.
"Abolishing ICE is the moderate position," said Victor Ray, an associate professor of sociology, criminology and African American studies at the University of Iowa.
In another social media post, Ray referred to the shooting, which killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, as a "murder." Nobody has been charged with murder in the case.

The ancient Greek system of education is to be much admired. The students didn’t pay the teacher until the course ended. Then the students only paid if they thought that they had learned something worth learning and paid what they thought it was worth.
Most of today’s professors would be living under bridges and hustling for money at stoplights.

However Land-Grant schools need to be forced back to their original purpose. The academic social science\liberal arts exotica that have flourished because no one is watching the legislative education money buckets needs to be weeded out The schools need to be focused back to their original purpose. Unfortunately state legislatures are still too cowardly to do anything.

Many, but not all. I took some courses that were really challenging. Yes, I probably could have learned much of it on my own but there were some things I didn't know I didn't know. Actually, now that I think about it, some of the statistics courses taught by foreign TAs I learned on my own. Those guys would be living under bridges.
The President is tasked by the Constitution to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed”.
Our immigration laws are perfectly valid, passed by multiple Congresses, signed by multiple Presidents, both parties.
