Reza Pahlavi, the exiled Iranian opposition figure and son of Iran’s last monarch, has issued his first public call to action since the start of the current wave of nationwide protests, urging Iranians to take part in a coordinated act of protest later this week.
In a video message released on Tuesday, coinciding with the tenth day of widespread demonstrations across Iran, Pahlavi called on citizens to chant slogans simultaneously on Thursday and Friday evenings, whether in the streets or from their homes.
His appeal comes amid one of the most sustained periods of civil unrest in recent years, driven by mounting anger over political repression, economic instability, and increasing public demands for systemic change. In his message, Pahlavi said, “Today, I share with you my first call to action. I invite you to chant slogans together this Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m., whether you are in the streets or at home. Depending on the response to this movement, I will announce subsequent calls.”

Sounds rather weak.
He looks so much like his father...
We want a touchdown now, we want a touchdown now now now....
They already are chanting coordinated slogans - Death to the Dictator. Death to Khamenei. In 27 provinces of the country.
How the Berlin Wall has fallen. Republican Congressmen support the Communist MEK (Mojahedin-e-Khalq) which fought with Iraq against Iran. They are so fanatical, as reported in Marjam Satrapi’s PERSEPOLIS https://archive.org/details/persepolis_book1/page/61/mode/1up 10,000 MEK chose to be executed rather than renounce their emnity for their home country. Now we are supporting them.
It would be interesting to know what the chants would be, however, I think it's a good idea.
He’s such a tool. Never done a single thing in his life except be a grifter living off donations. Now he expects to be installed as a monarch.
It would be the height of stupidity to throw out the mullahs and then turn around and install this clown.
Kinda reminds me of Prince Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia. Kiling fields. Some in the media thought of him as a unifying figure. Others knew him as a playboy. Ended up playing his friends and enemies off on one another. Pretty useless.
Iranians need to take their country back now, while the fire is hot and the Ayatollah and Mullahs are getting ready to run.
But, Pahlavi is part of the old guard and not what the Iranians need now or in the future. ‘No more kings’ anywhere.
He could be useful towards the beginning of a new government, but elections should be held to get the country into self-determination as ‘dictated’ by the people.
What ‘free population’?
Until a new government is installed, the population in Iran is still under the tyrannical rule of the Ayatollah and mullahs.
The only ‘free population’ of Iran, are living in western democracies.
You got a good point but his father had his supporters. Same with Ferdinand Marcos in the PI. Both crashed and burned but guess who runs the PI now? It might be that democracy in those places is not really democratic so heavy handedness is a fact of rule. Could Pahlavi have learned from his father and all those decades here? Would a ceremonial role stay that way while factions are fighting amongst themselves? I gotta say that a lotta goons there today need to be locked up first or exterminated. History forgives those that get the dirty work done in a hurry.
I do remember the young Pahlavi volunteering to fight the Iraqis in their 1980-1988 war. It was an absurd offer. He reports to the mullahs and the first thing they would do is kill him.
He has said the same himself.
I hope so. If I hear “Hey! Battah, battah battah! Hey battah, battah, battah! SWING! SWING! SWING!” one more time Im tempted to go postal.
