Tim Walz’s DHS fabricated records, had zero internal controls, and employees ignored oversight on more than $400 MILLION in grants.
The fraud and corruption continues.
DHA is Department of Health Services.
BHA is Behavior Health Administration. The BHA administers grants to provide prevention, treatment, and recovery services for individuals with mental health conditions or substance use disorders.
Highlights of the report include:
BHA frequently did not comply with competitive grant process.
BHA frequently did not comply with single source grant requirements.
Overpayments were made.
There was Missing Documentation.
Cases that could not establish that grant related work was actually performed.
It was noted that auditors identified that a number of documents that were either backdated or created after the audit began.

It seems likely to me that Gov Waltz knew this report was being released today - which is the reason he dropped his re-election campaign yesterday.
I think he should have resigned as governor, but that is just me.
💣
Does everyone realize we were just a hairsbreadth away from finishing a week without a “bombshell” thread on FR?
Whew.
Not meant to be rude. Thanks for this post which does include exciting scandal clues for us to savor. I’m loving the stories.
Tampon Timmy’s goose would be cooked if we had a DOJ that wanted to uphold laws against democrat governors. I don’t think we do though.
What are you talking about it's only Tuesday?
Walz took in A LOT of the money for himself GUARANTEED! He also ordered the hit on Melissa Hortman..yeah Ive ALWAYS believed that..the look on her face when she made the deciding vote on giving free health care to illegals, she knew she was a dead woman walking
The word “bombshell” is not mine, but from the original author. I do understand what you mean, the word is overused.
I thought the article was worth posting, though, even with the clickbait title. The audit confirms what we suspected about the Minnesota state government. (Most likely all state governments). They were just shoveling money out the door, without thought to policy or procedure.
Brave woman.
😆 I did not realize that. So funny!
“Does everyone realize we were just a hairsbreadth away from finishing a week without a “bombshell” thread on FR?”
Maybe you should make a post “Bombshell - Week almost goes by without somebody posting a Bombshell”
An audit report from the nonpartisan “Minnesota Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA)” found
that Tim Walz’s tax subsidized state Dept of Human Services (DHS) Behavioral Health Division
<><>fabricated official records of govt grants,
<><>failed to implement internal controls over govt grants,
<><>tax-paid govt employees ignored oversight on “certain govt grant programs.”
The audit, released January 2026, focused on how the Minn DHS grossly mismanaged govt grants totaling approximately $400 million tax dollars wrt grants that had issues.
Key findings from the audit include:
<><>Fabricated Records
<><>DHS staff falsified and backdated documents in an attempt to mislead auditors.
<><>Zero or Inadequate Internal Controls
<><>DHS’s oversight was nil
<><>failed to determine if grant recipients were financially stable before awarding tax funds
<><>govt staff “approved” advance tax dollar payments incorrectly.
<><>Ignored Oversight
<><>the agency failed to ensure grantees submitted required progress reports,
<><>govt employees did not conduct required monitoring visits,
<><>govt employees did not perform financial reconciliations of tax dollar expenditures.
These findings are part of a larger ongoing scandal where state and federal investigators are probing potentially billions of tax dollars in fraud across various Minnesota govt social service programs, most notably the Somali-run “Feeding Our Future” case.
Now ousted, then-Gov Tim Walz has previously stated “he was working to fix it.”
Timmy needs to go to jail
its funny you mention this...
Lately, I give more, “Pfffft(s)... and keep scrolling” than I click into articles that say Bombshell or Breaking...
The only way these 2 words will regain any meaning for me is if they are in an article title that says a Dem is going to prison for fraud.
The Minnesota fraud machine in action.
Tracking children and autism is one of the most reliable things that is done, including in Minnesota. To operate an autism center billing Medicaid, you MUST have:
Role Credentials Experience Required QSP (Qualified Supervising Professional) Master's/Doctorate + Licensed Mental Health Professional 2,000 hours clinical experience with ASD Level I Provider Master's degree OR BCBA certification 2,000 hours supervised clinical experience Level II Provider Bachelor's degree 1,000 hours supervised clinical experience
New requirement (Jan 1, 2025):
All Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) practicing in Minnesota MUST be licensed through the Minnesota Board of Psychology as Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBA).
This creates a verifiable paper trail. Every legitimate autism center should have:
Now we have to look at the gross numbers. With all of the Somali child day centers and Somali autism centers, we should expect these children, over time, to age out and become enrolled in the Minneapolis K-12 school system. Austistic children will have special needs and should be enrolled into special education programs, which are all well-documented by the state.
What do the numbers show?
Furthermore, the Special Education enrollment doesn't match autism rates:
Minnesota has:
If 10,000+ Somali children are in daycares receiving $100+ million in CCAP:
Instead we see:
Butterfingers.
LOL! Clearly an amateur. If you want to watch a professional drop bombshells safely and without injury to anyone just look at Hannity.
$400M? I thought we were up to ten figures and counting, and when you multiply ten figures by 50 states you are getting to annual deficit level numbers. No wonder debt increases, taxes go up and gubmint does nothing other than prosecute anyone who dares notice.
Nice report. The same for daycare centers. There has to be a certain number of staff on hand depending on the age of the child. Daycare centers need 1 staff member for every 4 infants and then 1 staff for 6 to 7 children aged 1.5 to 3, etc.
The word is also abused. That great big unabridged dictionary contains many words that mean much the same as "sensational".
