We’ve seen plenty of leftist violence in America in recent times, but we are hardly immune. Across the Pond, in Berlin, Germany, they’re finding out just how damaging crazed anarchists can be when they put their minds to it. To wit, a far-left pro-environmental organization called the Vulkan group claimed responsibility for an attack on the power grid that has left thousands of residents without electricity for days — even as freezing temperatures engulf the region.
According to the newspaper Berlin Zeitung, the group posted a 4,163-word letter saying they did it to protest the energy industry, adding that they targeted well-off neighborhoods to "cut the juice to the ruling class."
Looks like their leftists are just as nuts as ours.
The ongoing incident has Berliners questioning how this could have happened — and who might be watching:
In its third full day, a widespread power failure in Berlin resulting from an arson attack started to tug on the nerves of tens of thousands of people making do without heat, electricity, cellphone service and warm food or drinks.
It also had them questioning their infrastructure and security. The power cuts started on Saturday when firefighters were called to a fire at a cable transom that crosses a canal to connect one of Berlin’s biggest power plants to residents.
“A country like Russia will be carefully watching this to see where the critical points are,” said Jürgen Eicher, a 56-year-old resident. “I’d prefer it wasn’t quite so obvious.”

The tweet continues:
Responsibility for the attack was claimed by a German radical Antifa group calling itself “Vulkan.”
Note: Antifa is a nebulous group, and the Vulkan group (Vulkangruppe) isn’t formally associated with them, but German authorities describe them as “belonging to the violence-oriented anarchist spectrum of the left-wing extremist scene.” You get the idea.

The outages have caused widespread misery, with tens of thousands of businesses without power, schools shuttered, hospitals and nursing homes affected, and trains inoperable, all while the temperature remains below zero. Authorities have been forced to open up warming shelters where people can defrost and charge their phones, although communications have been affected, too.
Power is slowly being restored, but German officials don’t expect to have things fully resolved until Thursday.

According to reports, saboteurs torched a cable bridge that contained five main power lines and planted explosives underneath. It raises questions about Germany’s security, especially when it concerns their old foe, Russia.
The power outage added fuel to the debate about the robustness of Germany’s critical infrastructure. As the fourth anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine nears, the German authorities have warned the population that the country has become a target for sabotage attacks.
The authorities called on the federal prosecutor on Monday to take over the case, an indication of how seriously they take the sabotage.
It's right out of a dystopian movie:

The radical left would like to see human advancement set back by a century or more as they try to foist their extremist views on the environment, equity, gender ideology, and energy down everyone else's throats. They keep telling us, and the broader world around us, that they are the enemies of civilized people. We should listen.
That’s the way tO attract people to your movement 😜😜😜
Is their "foe" Russia, or is the enemy within Germany and Brussels, and their ideology?
Grok:
Yes, in March 2024, a far-left activist group known as Vulkangruppe (Volcano Group) claimed responsibility for an arson attack on a high-voltage electricity pylon near Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg in Grünheide, Germany.34c5ac25dfd6 This sabotage caused a major power outage, halting production at the factory for about a week and affecting power for thousands of nearby households. The group described their actions as an intentional “blackout” targeting the plant over environmental concerns, such as its impact on local water supplies.
Power was restored earlier than expected, and authorities investigated it as an act of terrorism or sabotage by left-wing extremists.
Note that it was arson (setting the pylon ablaze), not a bombing.
Is that the same left wing "spectrum" that literally TURNED OFF a huuuuge percentage of electricity generation?
Germany embraced the Globull Climate Hoax, and TURNED OFF all of their electricity generated from nuclear power. You cannot get more Left than that.
They should be executed.
The particular ‘group’ who wrote the manifesto-document...has not been clearly identified. Since being active in 2011....probably a dozen acts, which occur within a hundred mile radius of Berlin.
I’ve read the manifesto (painful reading experience) and would agree this is a highly educated guy (likely a PhD type) and consumed over dictating anti-capitalistic agenda. Also appears to know the city-layout (probably works for city-planning-commission or electrical company). Also uses the term ‘we’ a lot but looking at the history...could just be one single guy. Oddly, Berlin police are not making it a big deal (since 2011) to catch the group/guy.
Politically, this outage has spiked both CDU and SPD parties, and hit pretty negative upon the Green Party. Massive public frustration in SW part of Berlin.
But I’m sure the BND and BvS has all sorts of wiretaps and informants in the AFD.
You got to have your priorities.
One of antifa’s favorite terror tactic in Berlin is to throw chains over the fences at power transfer stations or rail switch lines on the metro.
