Most Americans worry the United States is becoming too involved in Venezuelan affairs after President Donald Trump’s strikes over the weekend, a new poll shows, with only 33% of respondents saying they agree with the recent action to remove Nicolás Maduro from the presidency.

WAPO-40%
YOUGOV--39%
While there's not a lot of strong support for the operation, it's important to point out that public sentiment is not overwhelmingly against it either. A significant number responded that they didn't know or didn't care one way or another.
Trump's approval rating rose three points as well.
Still, I find the numbers pretty shocking given that it was a daring, successful military operation.
People do not understand the reasoning and would not listen if it was given.
It’s not a Pollocracy, thank God.
That reminds me, tomorrow I need to muck out the stable.
Color me skeptical.
“Most Americans worry the United States is becoming too involved in Venezuelan affairs”
And what do they think of the Venezuela becoming “too involved” in American affairs?
Just wait until Maduro turns state witness and starts exposing his foreign puppet masters.
I wonder what the numbers would be if the consequences of Maduro’s capture—such as a lot less or no lethal drugs from Venezuela—were explained to the ones being polled.
If I had to guess, Trump saying we were going to run the country probably didn’t help promote a favorable public perception
I don’t believe it. It runs totally contrary to what l am seeing and Forbes is crap.
33%, eh? How many of those are 3rd graders?
The dims cry he doesn't include Congress . . . .but it's a law enforcement exercise . . . Congress not needed.
We have a myriad of guilty pukes in our own land and the rats are jumping ship, thinkin' it'll save 'em . . . Walz, etc.
Law enforcement has a long arm and a long memory and we have the established cabinet to not only clean up our nation, but drain the swamp.
I have the patience to wait and watch, but I'm gettin' fat on all this popcorn !
I think that's part of the problem. At first, it was promoting democracy, then it was about Maduro's cartel ties, and now it's about oil.
Good initial action, but we need to win the Peace.
.
Funny how a headline can deceive. Once I was a Forbes reader. Then I realized they went way to the left. I rather read this Free Republic.
I think the outstanding questions is ‘what happens next’ !
An initial excellent action can be mucked up by subsequent events. Or by the conduct and responses of others.
New poll shows only 33% of Americans know their head from their *ss!
I presume the polling questions were likely worded negatively thus, implying that Trump’s actions were bad. Perhaps wording the questions that would more emphasize the positive; Will removing Maduro impact the drugs being sent into the US and will it achieve a positive effect on the number of deaths caused by illegal drugs coming into the US from Venezuela?
