And they were supposed to dissolve and give up weapons. That went well. Gaza needs to move to a non western territory where destruction is the norm.
Hamas hasn’t not been in control in Gaza Strip for many years. We knew they were stealing aid etc for years. Hamas will not ever stop by its own choice, it may pretend to, but not really.

“Disarming” them will be about as successful as gun control in Chicago; it’s a fantasy. But they’re openly defiant of the terms of the cease fire that they signed. And they’re murdering their dissenters publicly. The idea that there’s a real peace process is wishful thinking.

Hams is not disarming. They’ve stated unequivocally that they are not disarming, and they are using those arms to execute Gazans who allegedly opposed them or helped the IDF, no evidence of a trial, or even specific charges. I’m just glad we got the hostages back before the next attack starts.
But start it will, as surely as the tide and the seasons. It’s only a question of when. Qatar will help them regroup, while smiling and bowing to the US of A. Iran may well be out of it, though, and that at least is good news.

Yes, I’m aware of this. I’m also aware the severe disfunction in the Knesset. At this point I think the latter is more of a threat to Israel than the former. Now Iran is a different story. There is unfinished business there. Turkey is whole different kind of bird.
