Kash Patel Confirms FBI’s J. Edgar Hoover Building to Be Shut Down ‘Permanently’

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel confirmed that the agency will be shutting down the J. Edgar Hoover Building in Washington, DC, “permanently.”
In a post on X, Patel explained that initially, there had been a plan to build a “new headquarters that wouldn’t open until 2035” for almost $5 billion. Patel added that the plan was “scrapped” and the agency “selected the already-existing Reagan Building, saving billions.”
“After more than 20 years of failed attempts, we finalized a plan to permanently close the FBI’s Hoover headquarters and move the workforce into a safe, modern facility,” Patel said. “Working directly with President Trump and Congress, we accomplished what no one else could.” …

The Hoover building is likely so full of spy systems, hard wired into the structure that it has to be destroyed. Hoover did a lot of it but much of it also was done by enemy foreign nations.
A whisper in the basement finds its way onto Voice of America within 24 hours.

When I saw the movie "The Winter Soldier" one part leapt out at me. I can envision this happening in the building's sub-basement:
"Wait. What will you do without me? How will you sleep knowing some are getting away?"
"I guess the old fashioned ways that you showed us, John. And we'll rest easier."
"When did you figure out I'd gained other resources?"
"There's no way a shadow government can function without a guiding hand."
"You'll still need me around. The Commies..."
"Are being monitored but you were always blind about Islam. It's time."

Even the Trump organization can’t make that building look any better, instead they could turn off the heat, add some steel bars and make it a federal prison. Start it with former FBI directors like Wray, Comey and add in the countless criminals like Brennan on down by the dozens and then hundreds, and call it the Walz building.
