John Fetterman breaks with Democrats, slams party’s Palestinian statehood stance as ‘absolute betrayal’

Sen. John Fetterman broke with Democrats on Sunday, siding with Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham as he accused members of his party of embracing antisemitic rhetoric after a deadly terror attack during a Hanukkah celebration in Australia over the weekend.

Appearing on "Sunday Morning Futures," Fetterman, D-Pa., said he agreed "with virtually everything" Graham, R-S.C., warned about earlier in the program. Graham had raised concerns about empowering Hamas by moving toward Palestinian statehood.

"It’s an absolute betrayal for Israel and for the worldwide Jewish community," ...

Fox leads everyone else by a wide margin and shouldn’t stoop to cheesy tactics to draw hits.

Insults aside, I think it IS just a matter of time before Fetterman jumps or quits altogether. The only thing holding him at this point is his local constituency and their willingness to set aside party loyalty for a man obviously better than what it’s come to represent.

Maybe.
Remember, Pennsylvania, my state, is purple.
We have strong conservatives, radical Democrats and also a good many political cross-dressers.
My allegedly Republican congressman is one, with a lot of Democrat friends, and Sen. Fetterman is another -- a Democrat who can sing an amazingly conservative song, on occasion.

Is that good or bad?
It's hard to say, but here's what's predictable: Pennsylvania nearly always flips opposite from the party in power in Washington, DC.
So, in 2020 we flipped blue.
In 2024 we flipped red.
Where will we go in 2026 and 2028?
Impossible to say now, though there are some good signs for Republicans, but be certain Republicans will fight uphill battles here in those years.

There are times when I wish that Fetterman would jump ship and become a Republican. Yes,he'd be another Susan Collins but,like it or not,Susan Collins is far better than any damn Rat Party member of Congress...with the possible exception of Fetterman.

Why not? The Democrats were the party of slavery. They were the party of the Klu Klux Klan. The were the party that filibustered anti lynching laws and civil rights rights acts. They then changed their scam to federal welfare and pretend civil rights in order to keep blacks on their government run plantation.

After all of that, some genteel racism is easy.

I didn’t write the headline. If I rewrote the headlines, I’d get flack for rewriting headlines. Because they have a misleading headline, I supposedly wrote it? Please. I don’t work for FNC. I don’t work for anyone. The most I ever do is get rid of gratuitous “BREAKING!” openings to otherwise valid headlines.

The point was that Fox News caught me by surprise with that click-bait headline as they’ve always been more professional in the past. I will be warier in the future.
