CTA Blue Line Attack Should Be the Limit of Endurance for Chicago

Lawrence Reed started his act of domestic terror by filling a plastic bottle with gasoline at a Garfield Park gas station. No one asked him why he wanted an open container of gasoline. There was no security to stop him. There were no police officers available to stop him.

He shouldn't have even been there. He was out on pretrial release with electronic monitoring for a prior violent offense, an aggravated battery case — "allegedly,” as they make us say in the city that twerks, he assaulted a hospital social worker.

He boarded the Blue Line at the Kedzie stop. There was no security check to ask why he was carrying a bottle of gasoline. There was no security on the train.

He went there with malice and forethought. He went there to burn a beautiful blonde woman alive.

So he walked on down the aisle, a killer on the line. His twisted, homicidal maniac brain was squirming like a toad, maddened by hate, murderous rage, and criminal insanity.

Then he spotted her, the perfect victim — Bethany MaGee, a beautiful, blonde, young, innocent, defenseless woman, apparently oblivious to him, eyes glued to her phone, who made the near-fatal mistake in Brandon Johnson’s Chicago of being on his death trap of a train.

She was a very gentle, soft-spoken, intelligent young woman from a small-town family with a close-knit background. She was an “avid reader” and had taken honors classes in high school. She was just the kind of citizen Chicago should want and value, whose safety the city should serve and protect and ensure.

She came to the big city. That was her nearly fatal mistake. She was about to meet Lawrence Reed. Probably no one in her hometown told her about him, or the myriad mindless, conscienceless, soulless, inhuman apex predators who roam our mean streets like beasts, unmolested, reigning like princes of darkness over the cowering citizenry. Probably no one in her hometown told her about him, or the myriad predators just like him.

She probably wouldn’t have believed them if they did. She probably heard what they told her in school. Being an avid reader, she probably read what the media told her. She probably saw it on TV. How the conservatives are the evil ones. That it’s racist to advocate for law enforcement. That it’s wrong to lock homicidal maniacs in jail and throw away the key, because they just want to be free. That the police are a disease that needs to be eradicated. That defunding the police and decarcerating the criminals is the ultimate goal of our society, at the expense of public safety. At the expense of her irrecoverable beauty. At the expense of her precious youth. At the cost of ruining her life forever.

We all know who they are. We see them, as the woke jokes say. We see them every day on TV.

She probably can’t read anymore. She probably can’t see the TV. But we can. We can read their libelous lies. We can hear their slanderous slurs. We hear them aid and abet the public enemies, including those who shouldn’t even be in the country.

Enemies like Lawrence Reed.

He chose her as his victim du jour, as he had chosen other victims, knowing he enjoyed impunity from any meaningful consequences, as he had on so many days before.

He stopped at her seat. He stopped inches away from this perfect stranger, this perfect victim, this beautiful young girl in the prime of her brief life.

Perhaps she wondered about the smell of the gasoline he carried as he went about his gruesome business.

He proceeded to pour it over her, prelude to a satanic baptism of fire. He poured it over her beautiful blonde hair, over her head, all over her body.

She tried to flee: She ran through the train car as he chased her. Then he lit his container of gas aflame, like a sick Molotov cocktail. He used the burning vessel as a torch to set her on fire, to turn this beautiful, innocent, young woman into a human torch. Surveillance footage reportedly shows every frame of this horror movie.

Then he said these words that will live in infamy:

“Burn, bi*ch.”

Then he watched her burn, no doubt with a sense of accomplishment. It probably put an evil grin on his face to watch her burn like some sort of ancient Roman spectacle, to gaze upon her human sacrifice as she writhed, and rolled, and screamed in terror and horror.

Don’t look away. Don’t you dare.

She was almost fully engulfed in flames. She attempted to douse the fire by rolling her burning body on the ground.

When the train stopped at the notorious, crime-infested Clark/Lake stop, she fled the car — severely burned over more than half her body, still ablaze with his rage, and collapsed on the platform. Bystanders, good Samaritans, among the remaining human beings in this sordid city, extinguished her with their bare hands.

She was rushed to a hospital, where she remained in critical condition from the severe burns to her face and body.

Lawrence Reed? He strolled out of the train unmolested, just as he always had, just as he had strolled out of court and prison 72 times, free to maim again. A firebug. An arsonist. A burner of human beings.

He continued on his merry way until he was finally arrested the next day, and at last put behind bars where he has belonged for most if not all of his 50 years, over his life of violent crime.

Look at her. Don’t look away.

She isn’t beautiful anymore.

She never will be, thanks to the homicidal maniac Lawrence Reed.

Her face is blackened like charcoal.

Her side is burned straight through to the bone. Her breast has been burned off.

She will never be beautiful again. The question is whether she’ll be able to ever look in the mirror again.

Imagine if it were your daughter.

Imagine if it were your mother.

Imagine the sheer horror.

See the world through her eyes, the once beautiful eyes that now can barely see, if at all.

See the world through the eyes of the female police officer who responded to the call. Feel the PTSD she will feel for the rest of her life.

Whatever happened to women’s rights? Whatever happened to #MeToo?

Bethany MaGee spent her Thanksgiving in the burn unit, suffering a fate arguably worse than death.

Because of Lawrence Reed.

Because she had the temerity to ride the CTA — which became a pyre upon which she was immolated, which became the stake at which she was burned. Because she dared to ride the public transportation Mayor 6.6 assured her was safe. Because she renounced the prejudice, whether it be conscious or unconscious, with which the race baiters condemn her and everyone who looks like her solely because of the color of their skin, not the content of their character as Dr. King, their secular saint, preached.

Because she was not prejudiced, and she didn’t fear riding on that train, because she listened to our idiot, criminal “Mayor,” she paid the penultimate price, arguably a fate far worse than death.

Lawrence Reed spent his Thanksgiving in a nice comfortable cell. He isn’t disfigured almost beyond recognition.

They probably served him a nice turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

At least he’s still in jail. This time. All it took was to burn a beautiful, young innocent woman alive, burn her beyond recognition, burn her for no reason.

He should never have been on the mean streets of Garfield Park that day. He should never have been on her train.

He should have been locked up for life, behind bars, or at the very least in a maximum security insane asylum, if not burning in hell.

But he wasn’t. As crazy and evil and vicious as he is, his heinous, beyond-barbaric, unimaginably evil and horrific crime is not by any means entirely his fault.

Not even close.

It takes a village to raise a demon like this.

A village of idiots. Evil, callous idiots. Race grifters who think all cops are criminals and all the sinners saints. Sinners like Lawrence Reed.

They are just as guilty as he is. Guiltier, in fact. Because they are supposedly of sound mind.

It should make them sick.

This is being prosecuted as an act of terrorism by the feds, which is good. The same feds that the evil cabal have demonized. The same feds they tell us are the greatest enemy of the people, greater than the criminals who prey upon all of us Chicagoans of every color of the rainbow, upon women, upon children. Oh yes, they’re equal opportunity robbers, rapists, and killers.

The feds won’t let Lawrence Reed out with an ankle bracelet, although he won’t get what he deserves. The punishment should fit the crime. We’re too civilized for that. At least, hopefully, hopefully, he will never walk the streets again free to attack innocent women, free to commit felony assault against those who attempt to help him.

But this isn’t really mere domestic terrorism. It’s a hate crime. But we can’t name and shame it truthfully because racism has been alleged, declared by the Lords of Woke who have captured this city. Hate crimes are a one-way street, according to them. In their twisted, bizarro universe, only the oppressor can be racist. In their sick worldview, the victim was the oppressor. Yes, sitting there with her eyes glued to her phone screen, minding her own business, engaged in the simple act of riding public transportation — the most minimal of civil rights — she was the oppressor. Lawrence Reed, though he was engaged in this premeditated, senseless act of obscene violence, was the oppressed. Even though he was a male, considered according to them by his very nature to be the aggressor, the predator in their bizarro Woke-world, he was the oppressed.

Why, you ask? The answer is the ridiculous calculus of Wokeism known as “intersectionality,” in which certain strains of identity politics outrank others, like the old game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors.” In this alternative universe, no oppressed person can be held individually accountable. In this madhouse, there is no good or evil — only stereotyped oppressors and oppressed exist, and their identity determines their destiny.

In this evil, vicious, racist, heartless, cruel world, the victim was the oppressor simply because she was white.

Look at her.

Don’t look away.

Don’t look away, Governor Pritzker.

Don’t look away, Boss Toni.

Don’t look away, Kim Foxx.

Don’t look away, “Injustice” Tim Evans.

Don’t look away, “Mayor” 6.6.

They will claim it’s an isolated incident, as our mayor has.

They may claim it’s a failure of the criminal justice system.

They lie.

It’s not.

It’s an inevitable consequence of their evil, malicious, idiotic policies.

They should be forced to visit the victim in her hospital bed.

Boss Toni Preckwinkle may have to suppress a smirk. She usually does when asked about the increase in crime afflicting the “nicer neighborhoods.” That’s code, as the race grifters say.

In the bizarro world of the woke, the burn victim was somehow the oppressor. He was the victim, even as he gave her a gasoline baptism, followed by a baptism of fire. Even as he set her aflame. Even as he shouted, “Burn alive, bit*h.”

Because in their sick, woke world, hate crimes are a one-way street. In the sick hive mind of the village of idiots who made Lawrence Reed, he has the right of way. He has the perennial get-out-of-jail-free card. He is without sin and we cannot cast the first stone. Even though he’s been arrested 72 times.

What happened to #MeToo? In post-George-Floyd Chicago, that doesn’t apply if the victims of such a horrific crime are white. Lawrence Reed might well be back on the street were it not for the feds, with another ankle bracelet to add to his collection, yet more criminal justice jewelry courtesy of the upside-down criminal injustice system in which the victims are falsely condemned as guilty and their persecutors are let scot-free, without any meaningful consequences.

Here’s the Hall of Shame. Of course, it includes the ringleader: Governor JB Pritzker and his evil cabal — “Mayor” 6.6, Boss Toni, CTU president Stacy Davis Gates, former State's Attorney Kim Foxx, and The Chief of Injustice, Tim Evans.

The usual suspects.

But it doesn’t stop there. It includes every brain-dead, conservative-loathing, cop-hating “All Cops Are Bastards” (aka ACAB), voter who elected them.

But they’re not the only ones who are accountable.

So are we. Because we haven’t had enough to throw the devils out of office.

We’ve made a start.

Foxx is gone.

Evans is gone.

We’ve managed to somehow be graced by the presence of an effective police superintendent.

But our work isn’t nearly done.

In fact, it has barely started.

We have to speak up. Speak out.

We need to have the courage of our convictions.

We need to conquer the fearful acquiescence that makes us fear speaking out of fear of losing our livelihoods as if we were living in a dictatorship.

We need to disabuse the poor excuses who elected these voters of the notion that they are the good people, the morally superior, the righteously indignant.

We need to show them her picture. It’s too bad we can’t show them the before and after pictures.

They thought they were doing the right thing too. They were just as wrong as the voters who elected Pritzker, Preckwinkle, and Johnson — the Unholy Trinity — and their Mephistophelean minions including Evans, Foxx, and all the rest of their sinister, satanic sycophants, those wolves masquerading in sheep’s clothing, those devils disguising themselves as angels.

We need to transcend fear of cancellation.

We need to do it for the victim of this heinous crime.

Don’t look away.

Put her picture where you can see it.

On your desk.

On your wall.

Make it the screensaver on your phone.

Every day.

So you never forget her.

Look at her every time you’re asked to make a political donation to save our city.

Every time you’re asked to speak out.

Look at it especially when you go to the polls to exorcise these demons. These criminals. These killers. To send them to political hell. To their permanent political exile. To their political damnation.

They think we the voters are stupid. They think they can get away with playing us for fools in their blind lust for power.

It’s time to prove them wrong. In fact, it’s long overdue.

It’s time to shut them up. Permanently. Politically, of course.

Make her your Joan of Arc, to inspire you to throw the demons out, as Saint Joan inspired the French to throw out the invaders who burned her at the stake.

Let the flames that engulfed her light the flames of a political revolution that will purify our city of the madness that has engulfed it.

Because Lawrence Reed is not the only one who said, “Burn, bit*h.”

That’s what the evil cabal who created him is saying to you. To all of us. To our city.

It will save our city. It’s the only way we can save ourselves.

Don't let them blithely walk away and carry on as if nothing happened, as if nothing has changed.

This is it — the very last straw. This is evil no one can deny. It’s an outrage that no one in their right mind, with any moral compass, can excuse for any reason whatsoever.

Make a solemn promise to yourself, a solemn oath: You’re going to take away the kingdom, the power, the glory, and the treasure they sold for blood. The filthy lucre they sold their souls for, irredeemably.

Demand the immediate repeal of the abominable, intolerable SAFE-T Act and all the other preposterous laws and regulations they have passed to leave us at the mercy of violent criminals, because if you don't, the very same fate could await you and those you love and care about.

We should have a penalty whereby the perps are lit on fire like this, but only one extremity at a time, burning the limb down. Let him enjoy life for an hour, then pick another to douse in gas and burn down, and so on.

Of course, the perp should be dead at the end.

It would not possibly be either cruel or unusual punishment, because he freely chose that for fun, to administer to an innocent person.

Let the torture match the torture these criminal gave out, and enjoy the live barbecue on television.

I have read Clive Barker’s Books of Blood. Truly a life imitates art horror story.

Wow. In a just world that would be a prize winning article and a catalyst for change. But it likely won’t be either.
