KYIV, Dec 12 (Reuters) - Ukrainian forces said they had retaken parts of the northeastern town of Kupiansk and had encircled Russian troops there as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy visited the area and praised the operation, saying it strengthened Ukraine diplomatically.
With U.S.-backed peace efforts underway, Moscow has said it is advancing on all fronts and that it has seized Kupiansk and the strategic city of Pokrovsk in the east. Kyiv has denied this, saying that the fighting is continuing.

Yeah...right...

Pro-Russian posters have a big sad.
More Russia-China-North Korean provocation. They want to destroy the US but can’t quite figure out how to do it :
South Korea deployed military aircraft after seven Russian warplanes and two Chinese aircraft entered an air identification zone maintained by Seoul, escalating tensions in a region already strained by an ongoing diplomatic rift between Beijing and Tokyo.
The planes entered and exited the air zone, known as KADIZ, above waters off the Korean peninsula’s eastern and southern coasts on Tuesday and did not violate South Korea’s territorial air space, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

The Rooskies occupied Kupiansk in February 2022, and the Ukies liberated it in September 2022. The Rooskies reoccupied it in November 2024. It is again being contested, what is left of it anyhow.
Both sides lie. We won’t know the full truth until the dust settles.
The Russians are making some pretty bold advances.
Some Russians may find themselves cut off.
Only 45,000 square miles left to take back and Ukraine will be back to even. When is the counteroffensive?
Not real clear why this stuff goes on.
BTW, maybe a significant thing getting zero media.
Ask an AI the following — Are there many European companies operating in Russia with assets at risk of retaliation and please provide an estimate of how much.
Synopsis, looks like about $150B to be confiscated in retaliation for any $190B grab from EuroClear. This is likely a very big part of why the $190B hasn’t been grabbed yet.
Some examples the AI listed:
$20B is at the Euroclear branch in Russia.
Royal Dutch Shell has “billions” in infrastructure they will lose.
Total has a minority interest in Sakhalin and the Europe sanctions were carefully crafted with a loophole that allows Total to collect dividends from Sakhalin. The minority interest, would, of course, be erased in retaliation. The AI did not have a billions estimate.
There is a large bank in Austria that still operates in Russia to provide a conduit for money to / from the EU for EU citizens living legally in Russia (usually extended family situations).
Anyway, there is zero media attention to the Russian retaliation mechanism.
So you’re telling me there’s a chance!
What they forgot to say was that they retook a phone booth on the outskirts of Kupiansk.
the kiss of death.
Yep. Damn homos. It's not like a stronk victory when the Russians took the same phone booth after 10 months of continuous assaults.
“EU lies”
Russia stronk !
“Hopefully somebody will pull a Gavrilo Princip on the Z-Man.”
