Ursula von der Leyen also said she has always had "a very good working relationship" with US presidents
BRUSSELS, December 12. /TASS/. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the US president should not interfere into democratic processes in the EU member countries.
"It is not on us, when it comes to elections, to decide who the leader of the country will be, but on the people of this country <…> That’s the sovereignty of the voters, and this must be protected," the European Commission president told Politico in an interview. "Nobody else is supposed to interfere, without any question."
She also said she has always had "a very good working relationship" with US presidents, and " this is also the case today."
Earlier, the US president denounced Europe as a "decaying" group of nations led by "weak" people in an interview with Politico. "I think they don’t know what to do. Europe doesn’t know what to do," he said. During the interview, Trump also criticized Europe’s migration policy and said that in the future, he will support European politicians whom he sees to be more capable.
The updated US National Security Strategy, released on December 5, in particular says that Europe "will be unrecognizable in 20 years or less" as it is on the verge of "civilizational erasure" due to the activities of the European Union and other transnational bodies. In this regard, the US administration expressed doubt that some European countries will have enough economic and military capacity to remain reliable allies for Washington.
“”It is not on us, when it comes to elections, to decide who the leader of the country will be, but on the people of this country <…> That’s the sovereignty of the voters, and this must be protected,” the European Commission president told Politico in an interview. “Nobody else is supposed to interfere, without any question.””
Say the people who manipulated their way into existence and cling like lampreys to their assumed power. The “EU” is nothing *but* interfering with what the people of European countries want.
“European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the US president should not interfere into democratic process”
Well that is fascinating Ursula. Can you please tell us about the election you won to become European Commission President? Who did you run against? Did you win the vote by a big margin?
Just kidding...
The EU is apparently a fascist overlord.
From the examples that those grand fellows have shown to the world, their mushroom fed ideas of democracy have been nothing but a facade for the usual dreams of 21st Century fiefdom.

“When Trump came along it woke us up to the fact that the US might not always act in European interest, especially if it goes against American interest,” a senior EU diplomat told CNN. “It sounds naive saying it out loud, but that was the assumption a lot people made.”
This is Thierry Breton
He is the Commissioner of the European Union who has just sent a letter threatening action against Elon Musk and X if tonight's scheduled live conversation with Donald Trump is not censored
This is a hostile demand for U.S. election interference from a global entity. But there is a silver lining:
X's refusal to comply with previous ludicrous demands for censorship from the EU has caused these communists to bring their threats into the public arena. Now we get to see what had otherwise been swept away by the Yoel Roths of the world.
It is abundantly clear from the letter sent by Breton that this is not the first time the EU has made these demands of U.S. Big Tech companies.
They seem to think there is precedent, and they seem to be deeply offended that X is not complying with these hollow demands: “Why aren't you listening? This usually works!”
How many times has the EU, and other global entities, made similar demands to U.S. Big Tech companies to censor material related to our elections or candidates themselves?
How many times did these companies comply?
And if it ever comes to exist, I suppose then Trump will have to decide whether to abide by that exhortation or not.
what EU democracy?
I 100% agree. Just let us pack up all our military shit and leave telling Russia we aren’t going to meddle with European democracy anymore.
Giorgia Meloni, Viktor Orban and a few others think von der Leyme is a clown show……not to mention the head of the neo-islamization committee run by Obummer.
Ursula is such a demonic name. Akin to an old Norse god or Athenian half pig half Al gore type creature. Perhaps she emerged from the loins of the dark lord Soros after his encounter with a random Islamic goat?
Laughable!
They have no clue what the word means.
I’m sure Ursula would have no problem with Trump “interfering” in Europe if the Russians attacked Brussels.
“what EU democracy?”
Yup. All I see is a budding communist conglomerate, the fast growing kind.
But it's ok for the EU, France, the UK, Germany and others to interfere in our democratic processes, which they do all the time.
,,, so she needs to explain efforts to cancel out Germany's aFD and France's National Rally Party.
“... That’s the sovereignty of the voters, and this must be protected...”
Could she remind us, who the European country intelligence agencies (Italy & England) that were involved in trying to rig the 2016 US election.
But that was then and this is now.
“ It is not on us, when it comes to elections, to decide who the leader of the country will be, but on the people of this country <…> That’s the sovereignty of the voters, and this must be protected,”
******************************************************************
Unless, of course, the voters start preferring populist parties such as the AfD party in Germany … then the “sovereignty of the voters” must be suppressed and banned.
And yet the EU has no problem interfering with America’s freedom of speech through its Digital Services Act. Time to leave NATO, remove our troops and let Europe go to hell without taking the US along with it.
