Advocates outraged man accused of church rape's slew of previous charges were dismissed

A man who is accused of raping a woman outside a Nashville church, who later died, has a long list of offenses that have been largely dismissed.

FOX 17 News has found he has a long list of offenses, and spoke with victim advocates who said enough is enough. They are demanding change in the criminal justice system.

According to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, Mohamed is still behind bars on a $300,000 bond.

But victim advocates like Verna Wyatt said the suspect should have stayed behind bars for his previous offenses to prevent the accused rape.

"It's infuriating," she said, "There should be an uproar, but there should have been an uproar a long time ago."

-snip

Court records show he has around 21 charges from 2015 until now.

The Criminal Court Clerk's office tells me Mohamed has had at least 15 arrests.

Court documents show those offenses vary from public indecency to indecent exposure. He was also charged with sexual battery that happened in May 2023, the charge was filed in August 2023.

Almost all were dismissed, and records show the sexual battery charge was retired.

That means the charge was put on hold, but can be brought back up by the DA's office.

Mohamed also has a conviction for public indecency.

MNPD said on August 15th, 2025, Mohamed raped 34-year-old Megan Mayo multiple times in front of a church in the 2600 block of Nolensville Pike while she was unconscious.

We all know why all those previous charges were dropped, right?

Domestic violence workers say “violence does not have a home in our county.” But it does. It is promoted by lenient judges and prosecutors who pamper the abusers. I have often wondered is the courts and prosecutors think that men with strong accents from a foreign tongue are cute and helpless like a puppy dog. It is an unmanly and sick affection for the abusers.

Aren’t Mohamed’s a dime a dozen? Guy doesn’t have a last name??? Not that it would help telling all Mohamed’s apart...Round them all up and ship them out!!!

“”Was the headline written by an illiterate?””

It definitely takes more than one glance...

It is time for justice from the people since it is no longer available from the court system.

I used to know a prosecuting attorney. He explained that often times whether someone is prosecuted has nothing to do with the crime or the damage done. The decision is based on whether the prosecuting office has the budget and the personnel. If not, then you have to triage your cases.

I don’t know if that’s what happened here as another driving factor is a desire on the part of people who pay the big bucks to get prosecutors elected want to do as much damage as possible to society. I’ve read the reason they do this is if things get really dangerous then the voting public will vote for greater and greater safety, meaning more and more laws that enable government to limit freedoms across the board. It’s an iterative, step-by-step means of enslaving the public. But you have to get the voters to vote to be enslaved. It’s the ultimate purpose of cultural Marxism.

Lock up the 3% or so of people who commit 90% of the crimes, and Chicago would be Mayberry.

When I was growing up in Nashville there weren’t any men named Mohammed or Juan living there and all the New Yorkers and Californians were at home making fun of us for being stupid rednecks instead of moving to Tennessee. I miss those days.

Nowhere in the article does the Somali Muslim’s first name appear.

But “mohammed” is enough to draw all the correct conclusions.

So enjoy the rapey rape Americans won’t rape!

So; the rape victim died and mohammed is still breathing? I guess thats ok, in his sh*thole country she probably would have been killed for inciting a rape.

It’s unfortunate that enforcing laws and putting people in prison is racist.

It is ok to rape women according to Islam. Is that why Haavaad is pro-Islam?

An immigrant with 15 arrests for serious crimes should have been incarcerated, then deported. Whoever failed to do so helped rape and kill the victim.

If the Criminal Justice System is incapable of dealing with criminals, what is it for? Why haven’t legislators corrected the inadequacies of the law? They have certainly had plenty of time.

It’s odd that the rapist is not charged with murder, or at least negligent homicide for not seeking emergency medical help for the unconscious victim.
