Putin is warning Britain – but we're not listening

hen Vladimir Putin declared this week that Russia was ‘ready’ to fight a war in Europe, the remark barely seems to have rippled the surface of Britain’s political consciousness. It should have sent a shockwave...Yet Britain continues to behave as though danger is tidily scheduled for years in the future, safely beyond the horizon of any present responsibility. It is a comforting delusion, but a very dangerous one.

Britain cannot lead Europe if it cannot defend itself

What Putin understands – and what Britain refuses to face – is that Europe is vulnerable in ways that matter more than tanks or troop numbers. Russia’s president does not need to defeat Nato militarily to cause chaos. As he has already shown through repeated greyzone attacks, Europe’s power grids, subsea cables, energy systems and communications networks offer targets far easier to strike, far harder to defend and politically far more disruptive. Putin’s warning this week was a reminder that Russia knows exactly where our exposed nerves lie.

A recent blackout we suffered at home underscored the point. Within a split second, the basic functions of modern life disappeared as our local grid totally collapsed...it illustrated a structural vulnerability: the speed with which a highly digitised society loses its coherence once the power fails.

.Britain, by contrast, has adapted to nothing – because it continues to believe it never will need to....We talk sternly about resisting Moscow while depending on Beijing...

If Russia struck at Europe – especially at a target as symbolically potent as the UK – Beijing would have every incentive to move on Taiwan..China strangled our supply chains.

It funny how the story gets twisted into a perceived aggression by Putin.

Putin said this in response of the news that NATO was considering a ‘Pre-emptive strike’ against Russia.

Of course Russia is going to come back and say they are ready to fight the EU, Duh.

“It funny how the story gets twisted into a perceived aggression by Putin.”

Are you referring to the Putin that invaded Ukraine and is sending drones into NATO countries and waginging cyber attacks?

Davos-Brussels-London only hope is to draw the USA into the conflict.

That was the original plan, but Trump got in the way.

They tried various means to remove him, with the help of their deep-state Atlanticist agents in DC, but have so far failed.

Don’t be concerned about the UK under Starmer. They’ve stated that they’ll be ready by 2030. Just wait.

2030 you say? Wow, they are on it!

Mmm, I have my doubts. 🙄

Russia said that they wouldn’t invade Ukraine.

Now that they have, some posters are rooting for Russia.

If Russia attacked Europe, I think that some posters would side with Russia.

If Russia attacked the United States, I think that some posters would blame the U.S.

The “British” were heavily involved in the fraud “Russia, Russia” cabal against President Trump. Trump owes the British NOTHING but contempt. They are part and parcel with the rest of the EuroTrash.

Trump should make a deal with Putin to carve up Europe, where Russia gets to destroy the UK, France and Germany, while the USA gets to annex all the rest.

Thanks I was interested in the context. It’s been long standing US policy to be ‘ready to fight’ two wars at once since WW2 forced us to do that, so just saying you are ready isn’t a threat, depending on the context.

--- "Mmm, I have my doubts. "

But....but....

"Readiness 2030 (formerly ReArm Europe) is a strategic defense initiative proposed by European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen on 4 March 2025, aimed at enhancing the European Union's military capabilities. It was unveiled in a letter to European leaders ahead of a European Council meeting on 6 March 2025. The plan seeks to mobilize up to €800 billion to strengthen Europe's defense infrastructure in response to geopolitical threats, notably the ongoing war in Ukraine and uncertainties over U.S. military support.[1][2][3][4] Following criticism from Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni and Spanish prime minister Pedro Sánchez, the initiative was rebranded as Readiness 2030."

Source: Readiness 2030 Wiki

Re-branding? It's really a geopolitical thing these days. Ain't talking heads great!!!!????

Not sure, however, the UK may be referring to their new, enlarged, prison system for Hate Speech Crime.

If Russia attacked Europe, I think that some posters would side with Russia.

I would prefer no war, but it came to that, the real enemy to the USA (at least the conservative/christian/non-woke one) comes from WESTERN EUROPE - particularly their elites in Davos and London. Ask any conservative, traditional self-respecting European, and they will tell you exactly who rules them.

Russia gave up global marxism 35 years ago. Western Europe now practices the neo-marxist variety, and is actively engaged in aggressively spreading it via every means possible - multilateral institutions, NGOs, intel agencies, culture, media, finance, etc..

For example, the migrant invasion of America under Biden was a global UN-NGO operation, involving their allies inside the US government - and it did NOT involve Russia.

Stop being a propagandist. Or otherwise, open your eyes.

The UK has been interfering in Ukraine from the get go. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were the first target.

Putin is not ready to strike a barely capable second world county. Oh that’s right, he has tried that already with little luck. He is ready to jaw bone his way into relevance and a seat at the negotiating table and he may just do it.

He is testing the waters to see if he gets pushback. If like in the case of Ukrainian he perceives the cost of going-a-Viking is low he will indulge some pillaging, looting, and raping.

If the UK continues on its current course it could happen. But for now the UK can resist enough to make a raid too painful. But if they will resist and more importantly signal that they will resist.

Yes, since Putin is a rebel against the Woke West (besides any authority over him), then "the enemy of my enemy ( any authority over them) is their friend. However, maybe a war is what may be tragically needed to wake Woke Western Europe out of its Wokeness.
