Damning report labels FBI ‘rudderless ship’ under Kash Patel — with him and Dan Bongino more concerned with building ‘personal résumés’
NY Post ^ | 11-30-2025 | Miranda Devine

FBI Director Kash Patel is facing withering criticism from an alliance of active-duty and retired agents and analysts, days after the White House denied media reports that the president is about to fire him.

A troubling new report card on the first six months of Patel’s leadership concludes he is “in over his head” and his deputy, Dan Bongino, is “something of a clown,” according to the alliance, which in two previous reports warned about crippling DEI and politicization of the FBI during the Biden administration.

The Patel-led FBI is described in the 115-page report as a “rudderless ship” and “all f–ked up.”

Yeah, I kinda expected this from the entrenched swamp members in the FBI. This appears to be the deep state fighting back.

Still, this is from a Trump friendly reporter and was printed in a Trump friendly paper. At this point Trump's poll numbers are plummeting so expect the deep state to plant more stories like this. If (and when) the economy turns around next year his approval number should recover and the GOP will hold the House and Senate. If the Dems get control of both Houses in 2026, the country as we know it is over.

Yep, already I’m seeing endless anti-Trump crap on social media by the Soros employees especially Trump/Epstein garbage where once again Democraps have declared him guilty without a shred of evidence and it will only get worse from here.

Maybe poor leadership is inherently an Indian thing. What a huge disappointment he has proven to be.

Can’t be the only one who thinks the DOJ is worse than the FBI, however they both suck as they are loaded with deep-staters.

If that odd little story about Kash demanding a certain type of jacket before he left the plane to deal with an emergency is true, that’s not at all good or behavior worthy of the position. I don’t know if it happened as described or not.
So both things may be happening, envious groups are nitpicking and some presidential appointees are appearing to be rather self centered at inopportune moments.

Under the enumerated powers there isn’t much need for a DOJ or FBI or CIA either.

according to Miranda, ths is not Swamp but a group of dedicated old-school FBi’ers who are trying to right the ship. maybe the agency just needs a knowng able manager to handle and prioritize the many many big jobs on the agenda. Kash and Dan have arrested thousands of criminals - were super in outing the burn bags - and make sure FBI is on scene on a dime for every incident. let’s see how DJT handles.

There is no doubt the FBI and DOJ are two of the swampiest. The people that are the swamp masters are the dirtiest and most evil you can find anywhere. That said, Kash just does not seem to have what it takes.

My advice to him is stay out of press conferences after events like the Guardsmen murders because he is awful at it and he exudes insecurity.

I end up feeling sorry for him because he seems so out of place.

I know POTUS believes in loyalty so I am sure that is why he keeps some of these people. We are a year in and the swamp is gaining ground. They were off put at the beginning of Trump’s term until they realized that there was nothing to worry about with these picks.

I have no strong opinions about Patel or Bonjino, but I recognize a Deep State attack when I see one.

This “damning report” is just a bunch of stuck pigs squealing, so Patel and Bonjino must be over target to catch flak.

At the top level, the big wigs set priorities, pick & monitor head people for various offices and departments and work on budgeting.

What do you think the Swamp looks like - you are talking to the guys who rose up through the ranks of the swamp - sure we have lots of issues, but some adjustments to the process and all will be well. They are trying to tune up a Pinto with a cracked engine block and a crapped out suspension. At the end of the day you still have a Pinto, which is not worth the scrap value of the car.

When if it happened, you don’t think all the other FBI agents like Vomey acted like this or much worse? The difference being that Democrats and RINOS aren’t sabotaging their own by publishing this BS then having their base start attacking their own. The stupid on our side is staggering.

By "report" is meant "DNC talking points". Even the NY Post is sometimes ComPost.

lol... no. Any Murdoch properties (Fox, WSJ, NY Post etc.) is a foreign-owned, America last, neocon s**tpile that was forced onto the Trump caravan when it they realized the internet won and it was out of their hands. Any Trump "supoort" was years late and through their teeth.

If (and when) the economy turns around next year...

lol...no. As long as we ignore the massive deficit/debt and devaluation of the dollar, any perceived upward blips in the economy are an illusion covering our insolvency. The "golden age" rhetoric is absurd.

Trump is magnificent in certain areas - like oil/gas prices and bringing American manufacturing back etc. - but ignores the debt-bomb elephant in the room.

This is no "golden age." Nobody thinks or speaks along those lines but him. Instead of talking nonsense he should have came in saying he would do everything he could, yet with heavy doses of realization, that this country has been utterly ransacked, and turning the tide will be near impossible. That would have covered his ass, gave him room to work and avoided unrealistic promises he can't keep.

Instead, he completely ignores our looming insolvency, fires DOGE and tells everyone it's a golden age... which everyone knows is BS on it's face.

He hasn’t done much to clean out the FBI like he said he would. He started by promoting some of the worst Jan. 6 offenders, only firing them after people called him out on it. He’s a loudmouth who turned into an FBI fanboy once he got his badge and gun.

He and Bongino assured us that Thomas Crooks was a lone gunman. Full of crap.

The whole DoJ is full of scum and traitors and Kash, Bongino, and Blondi are worthless if not complicit.

Sure looks like Kash and Dan still have work to do to get rid of more active-duty agents.

The DC Swamp is defending broken outdated useless “process” executed by tired old people shuffling from place to place and moving their inbox to their outbox. There is no strategic purpose or direction executed by anyone in the place, leadership is stifled in the crib and the whole place does nothing but defend itself. The only thing new is the increasing stench and rot of self-serving corruption making 8 and 9 figure-aires out of folks who pander for a living.
