Massive Russian strikes on Ukraine ahead crucial US peace talks

At least two people were killed and dozens injured after Russia launched a drone and missile attack on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv which lasted through the night and left some 600,000 people without power.

Video Summary

Russia struck Kyiv with drones and missiles before dawn, killing at least two and injuring dozens in residential areas—the second attack on the capital this week. Residents call it terrorism meant to exhaust civilians and force acceptance of a US-Russia 28-point peace plan widely seen as Moscow’s wishlist.

A Ukrainian delegation is traveling to the US for talks after Zelensky replaced his scandal-hit chief of staff Andriy Yermak. Kyiv remains heavily dependent on US intelligence and Patriot systems.

Ukraine hit two Russian Shadow Fleet oil tankers, an oil refinery, and an aviation plant. Officials reject Russian claims of imminent Ukrainian collapse as disinformation.

In an interview, MP Oleksandr Merezhko said Yermak’s resignation was necessary to restore trust, Ukraine will never cede territory, and any US recognition of Russian control over Crimea would gravely damage America’s reputation. He warned that without US support Ukraine will survive but at enormous cost, and criticized a business-like approach to the war that ignores human lives and security.

“Massive” strike kills 2.

If they kill massive amounts they're bloodthirsty murderers.

If they only kill a couple they're incompetent paper tigers on the brink of collapse.

Propaganda 101.

Kiev is looking kinda dark - the excuse-makers will tell us it's intentional.

Kyiv remains heavily dependent on US intelligence and Patriot systems.

Trump - who promised to end this day one - still adding gasoline to the meat grinder, when everyone knows Trump IS MATO he and could stop it all, right now, if he wished.

Hence, every day it goes on, he now owns all failures, all deaths, all suffering. It's his war now.

Exactly right you are. The Zelensky lovers on this forum do not care how corrupt Ukraine regime is. Z’s best buddy is in news for massive corruption.

Hunter & 10% Joe Biden made millions from corrupt Ukraine. I have no dog in this war, I just hate my tax money being wasted for most corrupt country in Europe. We have no obligation or military pacts to defend Ukraine with $100 BILLION PLUS going out every month to service interest on fugly big national debt.

Let the Ukes and Russians carve themselves up. We let it happen for 2 and a half years before the Normandy invasion in ‘44. If it means giving more military aid to Z I say go for it.

” It’s his war now. “

It’s been his war since January.

And it’ gonna leave a mark on him.

“Massive” strike that kills TWO people? Give me a break. A “massive” strike even by WWII standards killed hundreds or thousands.

Ukraine has all of Europe, right next door.

They will provide all the help Ukraine deserves.

The US should never have sent monies or weapons.
