Patel said there will be an FBI report in December that will show some of the latest crime statistics in the country, which will include the national murder rate that is expected to drop by double digits.

FBI Director Kash Patel said in an interview airing Saturday that the national murder rate in the United States is at its "lowest in modern history."

Patel said there will be an FBI report in December that will show some of the latest crime statistics in the country, which will include the national murder rate that is expected to drop by double digits.

Last year the murder rate was five per 100,000 people, down 15.8% from the year before and about one percent higher than a decade ago in 2015, according to Department of Justice data published in August.

“I’m happy to announce, finally, that one of the big targets we had for this year, obviously, was to reduce the murder rate across America,” Patel told The Epoch Times. “This FBI is going to be releasing murder rates in December, which is the lowest it has been in modern history, by double digits.”

The director also noted that his team has made 30,000 arrests since January, including 25,000 who were charged with violent crimes. The FBI has also been targeting criminal organizations that go after children, and has made 40% more espionage arrests compared to last year.

“We are actually disrupting them,” Patel said. “We’re kicking them out of our networks, we’re bringing them to trial, and we’re putting them in prison. That’s a very powerful public display of force.”

Patel added that the increased productivity and arrests are the result of his restructuring of the agency, which has focused more on putting agents in the field rather than keeping 12,000 agents in the...

Trump admin playing rope-a-dope to convince the Dim cities to start reporting their murders again to “prove” Trump isn’t helping.

I can believe it. After watching closely the amount of firearms ( mostly handguns which implies defense) Americans have been buying over the years since Nobama took office, the amount of concealed carry permits going through the roof, and NRA reports of self defense incidents, has presumably put the thugs, thieves and bad guys on notice.

Make the cities say Trump has caused murders to go up, then they have to show names with those murders, while showing themselves to be worse sh-tholes than before.

What a great way to screw with liberal mayors and their city councils.

You might just be right about that and if the past is any indication of the future they will fall for it hook line and sinker.

“… and about one percent higher than a decade ago in 2015…”

A very short “modern history”. I might go back as far as assembly lines, penicillin, powered flight, or talkies. Others might go back to transistors or a-bombs, TV, or orbital flights.

This writer goes back all the way to the IPhone 6.

Years ago I stayed at my brother in laws apartment in Houston. I am a early riser and at 6 am went down to the corner store to buy the Houston Post. It was still dark. On advice of him I took my pistol.

Rate depends on accuracy of population (dividend) and number of homicides (divisor). These are inherently inaccurate and are manipulted all to hell. Never believe statistics on their face value! This bull shit would have you believe Alaska is more dangerous than New York! The confounders are the big cities and the preposterous increase in population.
