A pilot who was suspended for disregarding orders of the President when he ordered some unsafe operations was reinstated and on his first flight again. Weather dictated landing elsewhere and driving to Smolensk. They again insisted on landing in Smolensk.

Only one thing matters. Do you think Russia is winning or do you think Ukraine is winning?
If Russia is winning and you persist in fighting anyway, victory will result in the Ukraine government being replaced with a pro Russia government. That’s what victory means. If you think that can be countered by “refusing to recognize it” . . . well, BRICS will and they are the majority of the planet. The UN will seat that govt too, as they do Maduro. It will be a government of technocrats with no foreign policy, other than to remove, or more likely execute, all EU or CIA/MI6 personnel. That’s what victory means.
Russia did not demand this in the 28 point plan. They did not demand surrender.
Now if you think Ukraine is winning, despite President Trump’s and VP Vance’s assertions and that Army guy on Trump’s staff, then you still need not believe Putin. It won’t matter. If you are going to be victorious, you can march on Moscow and force surrender and have control of the oil fields.
So that is the only choice out there. Pick who is winning.
Trump, after being briefed from satellite imagery says it is Russia and it’s about to accelerate. Frankly, Ukraine should be very grateful for the generous Russian offer in the 28 point plan — if they are losing.
Putin and Lavrov has made this point. Zelensky has no satellites. He is listening to the Brits, who do have a few, tell him all is well. And ignoring Trump, who says the reverse.
