MOUNT RAINIER, Wash. - A new study has revealed that Mount Rainier is experiencing a significant reduction in size due to shifting climate patterns.
The findings, published in the "Arctic Antarctic and Alpine Research" journal, indicate that since 1950, Mount Rainier has decreased by more than 20 feet.
Researchers attribute this shrinkage to the melting of snow and ice over the years.
Researchers have been tracking the height decline using satellites, laser measurements and historical photographs.

It’s shrinking due to gravity and natural erosion, not because of some made up claims.
I don’t believe a word of it. I’d sooner believe plate tectonics are responsible.
At first I thought this must be from the Babylon Bee. If there is any shrinkage I would place my bet on tectonic movement, not climate change. Besides, wouldn’t less snow and water make the mountain lighter? It is quite possible and most likely the measurements of years ago were less accurate than today’s technology. If so-called climate change (aka Global warming) is real and shrinking mountains, it would be occurring to many mountains, imho.
I’ll become alarmed when it’s Mound Rainer.

Around 10,000 years ago most of north America was covered in glaciers, if the green cult was around then they would be running around putting out camp fires because they were causing the ice to melt.
Stupid people who don’t have the ability to understand how the earth’s climate has been changing since creation. Humans have no effect on the world’s climate (in some cases they can effect local environments).
