McCaul advises against Ukraine signing peace plan without 'ironclad' security guarantees

Republican Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said Sunday he would advise against Ukraine signing the peace proposal that President Donald Trump has offered to end its war with Russia unless more "ironclad" security guarantees are written into the agreement.

"Without that, I would not advise Ukraine to sign this. They can't sign an agreement like Budapest and then allow Russia to invade again," McCaul told ABC News' "This Week" co-anchor Martha Raddatz.

Peace talks continue as American officials are meeting on Sunday with a Ukrainian delegation in Geneva.

The best Ukraine can expect is EU pay for its battle-hardened troops and the right to buy listed weapons at EU expense.

Ask people in Kabul, Baghdad and Ho Chi Mihn City why.

Shut up, McCaul! What’s the matter with you?!
He should be about due for retirement soon, anyway.

Sigh.

Another Republican Congress critter acting as an ambassador for Ukraine.

His position is to continue wasting money, munitions, & time on a losing foreign policy cause.

“Cutting bait” should’ve happened yesterday, but these block heads are completely incapable of going against the massive amount of pro Ukrainian & European propaganda they’ve chosen to consume.(While filling up their wallets & purses.)

He chooses to advocate for foreign interests that are contrary to US interests.

And it’s both naive and insulting to every American to compare the government in Kiev to the American revolutionaries.

It also exposes a profound ignorance of history.

The government in Kiev has its faults, but it head and shoulders above the ex-KGB operative’s government in Moscow.

Maybe you need to advocate for America instead of Russia.

McCaul is as much of a war pig as Lindsey Graham.

The question is, how is he profiting from the war in Ukraine?

Russia is indefinitely freer and better run country than an Ukrainian government that is bed in neo-Nazis that has outlawed opposition parties, opposition media, cancelled elections, imprisoned and murder dissents like American citizen Gonzalo Lira, used civilians human shields during this war and rounded conscripts and send them to frontlines against their will.

But, even if wasn't, it's outrageous we've wasted billions of tax dollars and military resources on Ukraine.

That would be difference for anyone that gives a hoot about the country.
