Trump explains the Ukraine situation succinctly.

The objective is a peaceful resolution, but Zelensky must accept the terms.

If he refuses, then “he can continue to fight his little heart out”, meaning Ukraine will fall regardless.

Submit, or die.

Under Obama Russia attacked and took part of Ukraine.
Under Biden Russia attacked and took part of Ikraine.
Think it like a hostile takeover over of parts of the company

Under Trump Russia did not start anything new.

It is reality. Russia won. Zelenskyy lost. That is reality.
It has nothing to do with whether we like reality or not.

We need to learn from this:
1) Reality is not the same as wishful thinking.
2)..
3).. list more lessons learned.

Yeah, but what Trump USED to say was that if Trump had been President, Putin would never have attacked Ukraine.

Now Trump is aiming at Ukraine to give in instead of Putin.

Seems like this is similar to the Winter War.

The Russians ended up taking 20% of Ukraine but at an immense cost.

From Trump's perspective, the war is going to last for another five years before the ceasefire is signed.

So might as well as get it over with.

Just to pre-empt the next wave of PR . . . it will go like this.

Lavrov has said . . . quoting . . . We will not do megaphone diplomacy.

So the EU and Ukraine over the next day or two will offer up their own plan, bearing little or no resemblance to Trump’s.

Russia will say nothing. This will be declared a refusal to negotiate. In the meantime, the Army officers the President sent to Zelensky will either carry the signed document to Russia to explain it there and likely get a sign off as a framework. Or they will come directly back to Washington with no signed framework.

At that point no more AWACS guidance of Ukraine munitions. In fact, AWACS missions over Poland may terminate and have them return home. And EOs to the extent possible will shut off funding and maybe undo any of the recent, EO generated, Russia sanctions (which are achieving nothing anyway).

If Russia is winning why have they lost about 18 refineries in the last few months. If Russia is winning why do they attack civilians every nite? If they are winning how are they losing 1,000 troops off the field every day? If they are winning why are they selling their Gold Bars?

How far has the front line moved in the last 2 years? Russia is not winning.

Actually Russia has lost big time. It was lost in the first weeks when they failed to take the capitol. Billions wasted on armaments millions of lives lost sanctions etc.

What was gained? Some land mass of people who hate them?

No Russia has not won anything. But they would like the sanctions lifted.

Trump is right to stop funding the war. Let the Euros provide the $$$. But no need to force a bad settlement just so he can claim a Nobel prize.

You move Putin.

Because history begins on a day of the warmongers' choosing.

The winter months are starting in Ukraine. The average temperatures in Ukraine during the winter months are from 23°F to 36°F. However, temperatures can frequently drop much lower, often falling to -4°F or below, especially in the eastern and northern regions. Russia has knocked much of Ukraine’s power many use to heat their homes. I think the reality of Ukraine citizens freezing to death are a reality that demands some realistic decisions for peace.

I sit here wondering pre Thanksgiving and starting to focus my thoughts on Christmas, and I muse that PDJT also said that he would impose more sever sanctions on /russia if they did not stop selling and sit down with Ukraine to negotiate. It didn’t, and he didn’t. His statements about Russia ring hollow with me. I have looked at the 28 point surrender plan that he wants to be agreed by Thanksgiving. It won’t happen. I could only agree with 9 of the points. He is walking away, which actually is a good thing as he needs to focus his energy on domestic issues. Among other things, Trump says that the parties must agree to restore russia to the global economy.

there is only one peaceful solution, Russia leaves I am always wonderful to see that the Pollyanna contingent is still alive and well here and still rooting for the idiocy of the last administration.

The Ukrainians have just about run out of men to send to send to be slaughtered in this now pointless proxy war with Russia. Zelensky ran on a peace platform which is why he had popular support. But his puppet masters had something different in mind. Joe (We won't do anything if its's a minor incursion) Biden and the rest of the crew such as Lindsay thought that they had a plan which would cause regime change in Russia.
