~ GIVING THANKS ~

|
|
Psalm 92:1 - 5 1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. 4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. 5 O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep." Psalm 95:1 - 6 1 "O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. 3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. 5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. 6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker." Psalm 100:1-5 1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. |

Dear God: I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman, Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, National Guardsman, or Merchant Marine feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
Psalm 130:7 & 8

Extra prayers for Israel...

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

HOwdy, Kathy.
“Lovely” day you’ve had up there. Definitely a day to stay home. Haven’t seen much on the LH cam except white. That’s some thick fog! It doesn’t seem quite as bad downtown but out by the airports is pea-soup thick.
Hope you got some R&R today.

I didn’t play...it was a Nephew’s gig. But the whole family attended (including my sister’s Dawg,) and it was a lot of fun.
The room was too noisy for my taste though, being a brewery, with “Industrial” decor.
Hard room to do sound in.
Sis has played thee a number of times, and I know how difficult doing sound in that room can be.

Got no rain at all overnight. The heaviest stuff stayed well north of here and there was some rain that moved along the state line just south of here.
I saw it snowing last night but it never came down real hard. A plus since that meant less shoveling for everyone.
We had some sunshine at long last today and it was more than welcome.

Glad you got some “you” time in. You probably won’t get much tomorrow, prepping as much as you can for the zoo week ahead.
I reckon the fog is thicker around LH due to it being by the water. Reading chat, a lot of incoming flights are having problems land at Stevens. Several have missed approach and had to circle around.
The air traffic controllers have been earning their money today and tonight! So far, so good. No crashes. :-)

I’ve noticed the temps have shifted quite a bit the past day or so. That just begs for fog. It did clear off for about an hour and a half but it came back with a vengeance.
Got a big hammer to break the ice on the duck food barrel? LOL
