President Donald Trump once again called Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene a "traitor" on Saturday as he reacted to her resignation announcement, adding that she "went BAD" after he "refused to return her never ending barrage of phone calls."
In a Saturday morning post on Truth Social, Trump said, "Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown, because of PLUMMETING Poll Numbers, and not wanting to face a Primary Challenger with a strong Trump Endorsement (where she would have no chance of winning!), has decided to call it ‘quits.’"
"Her relationship with the WORST Republican Congressman in decades, Tom Massie of Kentucky, also known as Rand Paul Jr. because he votes against the Republican Party (and really good legislation!), did not help her," the president continued. "For some reason, primarily that I refused to return her never ending barrage of phone calls, Marjorie went BAD. Nevertheless, I will always appreciate Marjorie, and thank her for her service to our Country!"
Trump later was asked by a reporter if he was willing to forgive Greene.
"Forgive for what? No. We just -- I just disagreed with her philosophy. She started backing perhaps the worst Republican congressman in our history, just, you know, a stupid person named Massie. And, I said, ‘go your own way.’ And once I left her, she resigned because she would never have survived a primary. But I think she's a nice person," Trump added.

Keep it classy San Diego!
MTGP needs to get HRT in check. She is diving off the deep end in a shallow pool.
Politics is a full contact sport. Apparently Marge didn’t understand that.
1. She isn't terribly bright.
2. She's a five-year House member with no committee leadership positions.
3. Her national media exposure far exceeds what anyone with her limited accomplishments in life should have warranted.
4. Her ego isn't matched by any noteworthy accomplishments in any walk of life.
5. If the GOP didn't have such a narrow House majority, nobody would pay any attention to her. (In this way, she's very much like Thomas Massie.)
6. When she was on board with the GOP agenda and publicly supported Trump, she got a lot of liberal media coverage because she often came across as a lunatic.
7. When she publicly opposed the GOP and Trump, she got a lot of liberal media coverage because she publicly opposed the GOP and Trump.
Some call her the Republican version of AOC. I call her the southern version of Judge Andrew Napolitano -- that FOX News clown and former short-term New Jersey municipal judge who actually thought he was a leading contender for a U.S. Supreme Court nomination in the first Trump administration.
100% right.
PDJT has to issue so many Exec Orders because he just doesn’t have a reliable Congressional majority to get them enacted into law.
Unless a few key states (at least) can have their corrupt election systems cleaned up, this problem will continue and likely even get worse.
He’s not wrong. She decided to go left with a big mouth and found everyone who “adored” here wasn’t gonna come along with her.
Exactly. And he wouldn't have that "reliable Congressional majority" even if the GOP had a 40-seat margin in the House and 60 Republican Senators.
People like her, and Boobert, and Gaetz got an inflated sense of their own importance because of the very narrow GOP House majorities. It didn't occur to them that they became important temporarily only because of their desire to leverage that, not because of any particular individual worth.
They'll all fade into the scrapheap of history sooner rather than later.
MTG overestimated her political clout. Rather than humble herself, she doubled down on stupid. She’s an emotional wreck now. She was all fake, pretentious and I can’t imagine what her family must go through living with that. She’s fooled around on her husband a few times and then they divorced. She’s a slut and liar and quite devious and thinks people buy her virtue signaling. No sale.
Her husband of 27 years divorced her the year after she was elected to Congress. That’s about as big a red flag as you’ll find with someone in politics.
8. She needs to come off her moral high horse when her personal behavior has been questionable for several years.
it is a quagmire
the DNCers vote as a party block (one guy excepted, bless him)
there aren’t many ways to overcome a determined (or at least well-disciplined) party line voting block
1. break it up (how?)
2. make your own party reps vote as a disciplined party line block (fighting fire with fire, but the whole place is subject to burning down?)
3,?
We can’t say we weren’t warned!
“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”
George Washington
many more quotes available..
“Nothing could be more ill-judged than that intolerant spirit which has, at all times, characterized political parties.”
Alexander Hamilton
I think all of that blonde hair dye affected her negatively...
And now she’s going to sit around for the next 2 months until she actually leaves office so her beloved constituents whom she was proud and honored to serve can pay for her pension for the rest of her life. Maybe Tim Walz can name her an honorary Minneapolis Somalian.
She flew to a protest where the crowd was calling him a pedophile
I’d be more than just a little pi**ed too if I was him
I like the way she stirred things up. She’ll have to live with her conscience, but I hardly see her as a danger to the republic.
She fought against the HB1 visa fiasco. You know, the one where Trump said we need half a million Chinese to come in because we don’t have enough smart Americans. I guess all those anti-MTG are now supporting Trump’s Chinese give away?
