Socialist Zohran Mamdani is now the mayor-elect of New York City.
Unfortunately for the city, they're about to find out what a bad decision they made.
Mamdani recently interviewed with PIX11 News’ politics managing editor and anchor Dan Mannarino, where he was asked about his plan for "free" buses and how he would pay for them. He was asked where he was going to get the $700 million that he would need for the plan if New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) was not for raising taxes.
Q: “How are you getting the $700M to make the buses free if the Governor is not for raising taxes?”
MAMDANI: “Through the raising of the state's corporate tax.”
Q: “But she said no…”

Mamdani said one of the ways was through the raising of the corporate tax. That's likely to make more businesses flee the city.
The interviewer interjected, "But she said no."
Mamdani also mentioned personal income tax on those making over $1 million a year.
“The most important fact is that we fund it, not the question of how we do it, but that we do it," he said.
I'm kind of thinking that if you don't know how you're going to do it, that might be a problem. But that's just little logical me. I realize that when you're a socialist, money grows on trees and drops out of the sky from the magic fairies with pixie dust, but for most of the rest of us, we have to figure out where our money is coming from to support the things that we want.
When you have a guy with a deficient ideology and, kindly said, a truly limited job background, maybe these are questions that aren't real to him. And New York City elected this. They're about to find out.
Not only would you lose the revenue from the buses, but they will also become rolling homeless shelters. That's going to be problematic for the riders and the drivers. That's assuming this ever even happens and wasn't just a thing to dangle out there to get people to vote for him.
I can hear all the people planning on moving out already. He's ridiculous, and he hasn't even started yet.

President Donald Trump will be meeting with Mamdani on Friday, and we'll bring you information on that. They're supposed to talk about affordability. But if that's a sample of Mamdani's thinking, Trump is likely to make mincemeat out of him and serve him up a literal reality about how things will work. He's going to be told in no uncertain terms that New York can't roll over federal law enforcement on illegal immigration matters.
Break out the popcorn, it promises to be a very interesting meeting.

The communist Momdani is meeting with Trump later today. The MAGA base expects that Trump will tell this lowlife that there will be no Federal dollars to underwrite New York and existing subsidies will soon be cut. Maybe Momdani can ask his 9/11 Saudi buddies for some cash.
I’ll bet you could find homeless folks to drive the buses in exchange for living in them. Scheduling might be a bit erratic, though.
If the ‘busses’ are replaced with police impound cars driven by work release inmates, he could claim promise kept.
