“In an interview on the Shawn Ryan Show, Brian Harpole, Charlie Kirk’s head of security, publicly revealed text messages with Utah Valley University Police Chief Jeff Long in which they discussed the rooftop vulnerabilities and the chief vowed, “I got you covered.” The exchange took place in the days leading up to Kirk’s September 10 speaking event at UVU, where the Turning Point USA founder was fatally shot by a gunman who is said to have fired from a rooftop position.”

boy, that really sucks. i hope the guy does better with Harvest and Greg Laurie going there for a revival meeting.
Yes, with the Antifa assassination squad, psychos and TDS senators telling the military to ignore Trump, I don’t think it’s safe to do any outside political rallies or TPUSA events anymore. Even inside events need to be impermeable.
In other words, Charlies security chief “contracted” out that extremely important responsibility to a college cop. Same guy who said he heard the shot and then heard the bullet slap the body. That shot sound obviously broke the speed of sound.
Gotcha.
yeah. i think you’ve also got to have your own. i don’t think i’d feel safe with out the equivalent Rosie Greer or Bubba Smith close by, too.
This explains why Charlie’s team appeared to be complacent. They foolishly trusted the University police.
“In other words, Charlies security chief “contracted” out that extremely important responsibility to a college cop.”
Yeah, that was my reaction. Kirk’s security guy offered an either-or option and got an extremely ambiguous response—”got you covered” in terms of he’d control access or that he’d allow one of Kirk’s security on the roof? No follow up to clarify what the guy meant? The ultimate responsibility lies with Kirk’s security guy in my opinion.
I wonder if someone paid off the university police chief…..
He says, “I’ve got you covered”
Then he deliberately didn’t or he blew it off.
Some things are too important to delegate.
“Trust by verify”.
He didn’t.
Doesn’t a “head of security” check the most vulnerable points in any operation?
I wonder, was he bought off, or just incompetent?
Is this the same guy who checked out the Texas School Book Depository in '63, and declared it "secure?"
