The House vote to release the Jeffrey Epstein files was, in the end, 427-1. That’s a margin typically reserved for proclamations and post office namings, not for what was perhaps the biggest defeat of President Donald Trump’s second term, a fight that GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene declared on Tuesday had “ripped MAGA apart.”
A group of Epstein’s survivors, sitting together in one section of the House gallery, applauded. Democrats applauded. Some Republicans applauded. No one seemed to say much to Rep. Ro Khanna as he stood in the center of the floor, toward the front, chitchatting with colleagues. When Illinois Rep. Joshua Jackson patted Khanna on the back a moment later, it wasn’t clear if he was acknowledging Khanna’s work or just trying to squeeze by to get to someone on the other side.
That morning, Khanna had noticed that Greene and Rep. Thomas Massie, his Republican co-sponsor on the discharge petition leading to Tuesday’s vote, were trending on X and he wasn’t. He is trying to be fine with that, as playing down the Democratic role to woo Republican support was always part of the plan. He offered a “Schoolhouse Rock”-like optimism about legislating, saying, “It feels like you can make a difference in Congress.”

So he is admitting he is a jerk.
The idiots are still pretending that they haven’t been trolled.
Gotta maintain the authority to sustain that alternative reality.
Else, what use is a “narrative” if the narrator goes ignored. With advertising revenue long gone, if the media can’t sell political influence, what have they left?
ru ro raggy
Ripped MAGA apart? That’s a good one. 🤣
” biggest defeat of President Donald Trump’s second term”
MSN BS.
No, he's bragging that he used MTG, Massie et al to disrupt MAGA and, by extension, harm Trump.
Obviously MTG and Massie care more about their own egos than the success of the MAGA Movement; which is a sad realization for many of us.
This part stuck out to me.
“Or carefully maneuvering how to get Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert in September to sign the discharge petition that forced the vote. Massie relayed that she’d do it if she didn’t have to wait in line, so Khanna pulled the paper away from a Democratic colleague on the House floor and let her walk over and do it.”
She couldnt be bothered with it if she had to wait in line.
good grief , what kind of principled stand is that?
‘ripped MAGA apart’
Yawn! Did anyone even notice outside the DC beltway. If anything, it shows how deep the democrats were involved with Epstein. MSN is as bad as Politico and Huffington Post. Hack journalism at it’s core. /spit
Typical scam artist attitude
I agree with you he is bragging and he by doing so is telling the world he is a jerk.
As for Massie and MTG, well.......
“The batch of Epstein estate emails released last week revealed Summers had been asking Epstein for advice on how to sleep with a mentee of his until just before Epstein’s final arrest.”
Larry Summers, of Harvard.
Will we finally get to see the pizza & hotdog crowd in action?
A lot of swells are going to take it in the ‘nads. Good.
He is PURE EVIL POSING AS A MODERATE.
How is this Trump's worst defeat?
Slow joe and his corrupt fbi/doj along with the msm, had these files for four years, and if there was a hint of Trump involvement, it would have been front page news in October of 2024, not some whispering innuendo in November/December of 2025.
The demonRATs are sitting in the corner, again, jerking off using number 10 sandpaper...and that's gotta hurt.
So Massie and MTG admit their plan was to rip MAGA apart.
And why do some here still support them?
These were not originally released to protect them. Now they want to be named and all details come out. Why now? Seems like somebody got paid.
Defeat eh.... as in de feets are running swiftly to the exits... to no avail which caused me to rip a mega fart of joy at the thought of all these commies receiving their just desserts.
Releasing the Epstein files should never have been controversial or problematic in the first place. Maybe this whole issue is a nothing-burger and a distraction, but it’s been an effective distraction. Every piece of info regarding Epstein should have been released the day Pam Bondi took her office as head of DoJ.
IIRC the DOJ has turned over only the first batch of 3 of the Epstein documents to the Congress. Which many representatives said they would release immediately. But they didn’t, instead they sat on them until they could select, manipulate and redact some to support their agenda and then leak those. Forgetting that the DOJ has the complete unredacted originals. Now they are demanding the full release, which is what Trump wants and they are giving him the authority to do that.
He’s going to let it all hang out and let the chips fall where they may. Hilary says she’s taking half of D.C. with her when she goes down. So the great cleansing of The Swamp is about to start and it’s going to have worldwide consequences.
