U.S. President Donald Trump is considering an executive order that would seek to preempt state laws on artificial intelligence through lawsuits and by withholding federal funding, according to a draft of the order seen by Reuters on Wednesday.

The move, which is likely to face pushback from states, shows how far Trump is willing to go to help AI companies overcome a patchwork of laws they say stifle innovation.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

Google and others in big tech favor nationalizing AI policy, I'm not sure why Trump is throwing in with the wokesters at big tech, but this is wrong.

Under the 10th amendment, this nationalization should be unconstitutional. Trump should not take the side of the left wing, Trump should support the Constitution, federalism, and continuing what he started in reducing the size and scope of the federal government. Nationalizing laws like this only increases government's size.

Government only makes things worse. AI is bad enough and creepy enough on its own without big government making things maximally bad.

Sarah Conner: I don’t understand.
Kyle Reese: Defense network computers. New... powerful... hooked into everything, trusted to run it all. They say it got smart, a new order of intelligence. Then it saw all people as a threat, not just the ones on the other side. Decided our fate in a microsecond: extermination.

Welp, on the bright side, the kids won’t have to worry about 50 trillion in national debt.

Yes it is absolutely wrong. Looks like Trump has been a NWO plant the whole time... He is right in there with digitally enslaving the world.

Please be gentle with your fellow Freepers; many are still holding tight to their cultish devotion to Trump.

This is actually Vance behind this big Tech takeover. He has convinced Trump it is good for the economy. All Trump has to hear is the keyword economy and he is all in no matter what it is. This one is a huge mistake.

I mean really, would it be intelligent to grant blanket immunity from liability to the whole car industry? Or aircraft industry? Or Big Pharma? Who do these communist leftist tech companies think they are to be any better?
