Confessions of an Ex-Tucker Fan
American Thinker ^ | 11/18/25 | John B. Carpenter

Posted on 11/18/2025 12:46:51 PM PST by SeekAndFind

In the school of Tuckerism, I was a prospective PhD. I never missed Tucker’s Fox News monologues. Every night, I imbibed his lively lectures, treating his conservative social critique as a nightly devotional. His cuts into liberalism were scalpel-sharp. I once commented to my wife, after another of Tucker’s surgical vivisections of some liberal propagandist, “I’d hate to be one of his liberal guests.” Though sometimes, looking back, the red flags were there—baseless conspiracy theories punctuated with an emphatic “This is just true, period!”—he still put on a nightly clinic on how to deconstruct the left.

But now the scalpel-like critiques are gone, replaced by pernicious conspiracies, reputation laundering, and a bizarre and ironic obsession with Israel. The man I followed devotionally has become a guru of the fringe. So, now Tucker has to go.

The first big red flag was his message—I mean, “interview”—of Kickboxing Champion Andrew Tate. I knew little about Tate except that some Daily Wire-types found him offensive. Like you, I’m not the internet’s dad, to paraphrase Megyn Kelly. I don’t stay on top of every sensation. I assumed my formerly nightly guru was informed for me, and would challenge Tate accordingly. He had sliced and diced his way so effectively through ideological obfuscators on Fox News that the Democrat party reportedly advised its representatives to stay away.

Tucker reported, I thought, so I could decide. Tucker flew to Romania—so determined was he to “platform” Tate—to do the promotional video—I mean, “interview.” (“Platforming” is a fine neologism, by the way, because it describes what’s being done, with a lucid verb.) The Tucker-Tate talk was bromantic, less challenging than chummy. I concluded, “Wow. This Tate isn’t such a bad guy.” He was just, apparently, heterosexual. I related my conclusion to one of the rarest people…

Tate was my trigger too. I Wondered if Tucker thought he could sell us anything he wanted.

Tucker has lost me too. He seems to be aligning himself with the Nick Fuentes, Alex Jones, Candance Owens, Marjorie Taylor Greene, types.

Trump has enough to wrestle with with the RINOs and democrats. These people seem to be thinking they’re more important than the president. They’re thinking more of themselves than they should.

Were you a supporter of Lyin' Ted back in 2016?

Because it's that weasel and the Republican establishment using attacks on Tucker in proxy war to undermine JD Vance's candidacy in 2028.

Tucker lost me when he praised Hells Angels leader Sonny Barger. I found that decision of his to be, well, interesting.

Ohhh, the late comers ..... Tucker wallowed in his neighbor the druggie Hunter Biden's expose laptop ... Kind of like Netinyaywho, was the first political leader to bend a knee to the demented Joey Biden ..

I have NO use for either Tucker, no matter who he interviews .... seriously, how much did the ‘foxes’ pay him??? AND Benny Netinyaywho poked me in the eye, when he sucked up to a liar, cheat, and corrupt sack of poop..

I doubt Trump has watched Tucker or given 15 seconds to think about im.

I have. I won’t again. Tucker has become an Arab mouthpiece. When you softball Holocaust deniers and people who say we should have supported Nazi Germany, and attack Israel and Jews for defending themselves?

You are scum.

Maybe you like people like that, but I don’t!

I suspect Greene, Carlson and Owens are being bankrolled by the same Middle Eastern country

I still support Tucker—even he says he could be wrong. Once I gave 100% support to Israel but Friends visited the land and told of the plight of the native people who were displaced. I started to waver. We do give Billions to Israel, more than any other land. If we stopped—Israel might just fold up. It is a colony, an independent one true, but a dependent state of America. I am willing to listen to Tucker-—To consider his charges and make up my own mind. Think about how desperate people must be to strap bombs to themselves and blow themselves up just to kill a few Jews? Even the Nazis were not that fanatical.

There does seem to be a falling away with many of the heretofore conservative hosts.

I don’t understand it. But if I were to jump on the conspiracy wagon I might suggest they have been replaced. But no, that’s not possible, right?

Carpenter is 100 percent correct. I was just like him when it came to Tucker. Every night, every monologue. I was pissed when he got fired. What idiot would do that? I thought he was fired for showing the truth about January 6. But there must have been so much more going on behind the scenes. He turned into a different person on his own internet show, someone I would never follow. I was surprised he was allowed to speak at the Kirk service. I hope Vance wakes up and sees the reality quickly.

Waaaahhhh Tucker is spreading foreign disinformation!!!

In the world of acceptable American left-right politics, we all eventually sound like woke liberals.

“Waaaahhhh Tucker is spreading foreign disinformation!!!”

Dude, I said NOTHING about removing him from YouTube!

But I do not need to listen to, promote, or call someone who denies the Holocaust and ally and friend! I won’t recommend him or waste time SUPPORTING him.

What about you? Do YOU think Sharia law is cool? Think supporting the Nazis in WW2 reasonable? Think Hitler was right and the Holocaust never happened?

As an academician with a doctoral degree, I too enjoyed listening to Mister Carlson. I found his show was a cut above and it appealed to people who could reason and see the bigger picture. I attended one of his live shows and thoroughly enjoyed his mixture of conservatism and Christian world view. Then I began to recognize some of the County Club Republican which never tried too hard to hide its hatred for Jews. I could visualize Carlson referring to Jews in code language they used to talk about Jews. At first it confused me because I thought they were better than the evil bigots I had been told they were by my life long Democrat father.

Fortunately my break with that wing of Republicanism came early enough to save my political soul. Mister Carlson’s bad mouthing of Trump to a German news outlet was my red flag.

I confess I did all I could to disbelieve my “lying eyes,” but reading his comments and watching the antics of his imp Ms Kelly kept ring the bell I could no longer make believe I didn’t hear. I am done with Mister Carlson.
I realized that when it came to me that I was now on the same side as Mark Levin a man I never felt good about standing with. Only Tucker Carlson could get me on Levin’s side. His hatred for Jews is just too much for me.

Supporting Tate was my wife’s trigger and I dismissed her. I really didn’t pay much attention to Tate.

The gradual decline into anti-Semitic whackadoodle land make me look at him askance. This is usually a co-morbidity into some kind of insanity.

His weird giggling fit at Charlie Kirk’s funeral was disturbing, whatever one made of his message.

The attack on Bonhoeffer (and before that, Churchill) made me write him off forever.

Literally the only common thread to the weirdness: Tate (A muslim), Churchill, Nazi-revisionism, Bonhoeffer is pro-Islam.

And then I found out he is sponsored by Qatar.

Off my list.

Netanyahu, like all Israeli Prime Ministers, tried to keep the US supporting Israel. Including when Biden was President. What did you expect him to do? Spit on the USA?

I too was a fan of Tucker. And it's a damn shame how he went off the rails. He came from good stock. His father Richard Carlson blew the lid off of one of the biggest scams of the 1970's exposing a he/she who conned investors pretending to be the first "woman" CEO of what turned out to be a fake car company. Hence the reason why the woketards accused Tucker of transphobia.
