President Donald Trump's sudden pivot on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files was not an impulsive gamble but a tactical move to end a months-long drama that has consumed the White House and Congress.
In a sudden shift, Trump said Sunday night that 'House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files.'
But White House insiders have told the Daily Mail that the move by Trump wasn't a U-turn, but a calculated move to expose senior Democrats and his critics who had links to Epstein.
Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Monday: 'We have nothing to do with Epstein. The Democrats do - all of his friends were Democrats.'
'I believe that many of the people that we, some of the people that we mentioned are being looked at very seriously for their relationship to Jeffrey Epstein, but they were with him all the time. I wasn't. I wasn't at all, and we'll see what happens,' he added.
When asked if he would sign a bill authorizing the release of the files if it reached his desk, he said, 'Sure I would.'
Democrats hope embarrassing material about Trump could be included in the files, even though the president has never been officially accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein, and insists he fell out with him years ago.

My suspicion about the Epstein files is that one or more spy agencies were complicit in letting him solicit underage girls so the agencies could benefit from blackmailing important people. Imagine how embarrassing that would be for the US if it was the CIA or for Israel if it was the Mossad. The fallout would shake the world order and provide a massive propaganda boost for our enemies. Worse, the people in those agencies who did this are long gone. Likely those who did this are revered and decorated heroes. The damage to the various agencies would likely be unrecoverable. If that’s the case...let it die in darkness. Or, have a Hillary Clinton moment with a hammer or, “like a cloth or something.”

Many of Trump’s critics cannot see beyond his personality and thus overlook his keen sense of strategy and political theater. I suspect that Trump has manipulated the issue so that his enemies have been induced to demand a full warts and all exposure of they aided and permitted Epstein to operate. When the Epstein matter is fully exposed, Epstein’s Democrat pals and Deep State allies are likely to be losers and Trump vindicated.
What I find funny about ALL this Jeffrey Epstein crap is that the ONLY person involved appears to be Trump.
Just damn amazing that ALL Democrats seem to be totally innocent regarding any contact with Epstein.
Democrats, the party of Perverts, Pedophiles, and all other Sexual Deviants is TOTALLY INNOCENT of any contact of any kind with Epstein. Democrats must be the most virtuous people on the face of the Earth.
