The Department of the Interior today announced the successful seizure of more than 37,000 fentanyl pills during a coordinated drug interdiction operation on the Pueblo of Isleta Reservation in New Mexico, led by the Bureau of Indian Affairs Division of Drug Enforcement and Pueblo of Isleta Tribal Police. The operation, which also included the Homeland Security Task Force, resulted in the seizure of approximately 37,300 fentanyl pills with a street value of nearly $1.5 million and $37,877 in cash.
"We commend the law enforcement teams from the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Pueblo of Isleta, and all of the other dedicated men and women involved, for your unwavering protection of Indian Country.” said Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum. "President Trump has made it a priority to keep our communities safe and free of these very deadly drugs. By working alongside our Native communities and in collaboration with our federal, tribal, state and local partners, we are doing everything we can to get these drugs off the streets and away from our most vulnerable. Today’s announcement is another example of how we are honoring our commitments."
"I praise the great collaboration between all of the involved agencies, both tribal and non-tribal, to protect our nation from deadly drugs which continue to devastate our country," said Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs William Kirkland. "Illegal drugs brought into tribal communities continues to be a major contributor to violent crime occurring in Indian Country. I applaud President Trump and Interior Secretary Burgum for their leadership and continued support in the fierce fight against illegal drug trafficking. By working with our tribal, federal and state partners, it strengthens our ability to accomplish our mission to protect the citizens we serve from these extreme dangers."
In 2018, the Department of the Interior established an Opioid Reduction Task Force led by the Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Justice Services to disrupt illegal narcotics from being distributed in and around Indian Country. The Opioid Reduction Task Force is a coordinated intra-agency and inter-agency effort established to support President Donald J. Trump’s national call to end the opioid crisis.
In 2025, the fight against fentanyl is a key priority of the Trump administration and Interior has again began increasing the fight against these drug trafficking organizations by working with other task force partners. This seizure is just another example of the commitment and dedication by the law enforcement agencies sworn to keep Indian Country safe.

The Chinese Communists made it a project to get chemicals for fentanyl and transportation of fentanyl by Mexican drug runners into the US a priority.
Those shifty, sneaky, bastards knew American families with a teenage child getting hooked, a husband or wife knowing their spouse was committing crimes to get money for drugs, and the job losses and court costs and imprisonment of people in the US would add to chaos and be an indirect act of war on the American people. Plus the cops and deputies and ICE agents would have to arrest people, causing more chaos.
Chinese were smart. Crafty and smart.
Updated figure:
Provisional data for 2024 shows an estimated 48,422 deaths involving synthetic opioids such as fentanyl.

And yes the China connection is disturbing and awful.
My brother lives in New Mexico and told me there are towns where the local trade has always been narcotics dealing. He said kids become junkies in grade school.
So it’s not just the Whites, Native Americans are in on it too.
I recently saw a guy and gal on the side of the highway.
Hard to describe what those zombies were doing.
Just by their body movements and posture you could tell they were drugged out.
I saw someone like that at a train station before too. Crazy to see these people.

You have extremely potent synthetic opioids floating out there, compounded with things like Xylazine which not being an opioid does not respond to Narcan and greatly increases the overdose risk.
What these drugs do to people is horrible.
Look at a beautiful girls drivers license picture from 5 years ago, and see this burt out shell with missing teeth, hair, sores on the skin, skinny, sunken eyes before one today.
Meth, heroin, fentanyl, crack... What makes people even try these is incomprehensible to me.
The Brits did it to them long ago during the opium wars. That was a direct result of the Chinese trade surplus causing a current account deficit with Britain and draining the silver out of their economy. All very interesting.
“and Pueblo of Isleta Tribal Police”
I suspect those members of this entity may be part of the problem.
They know most everything going on, on their reservations, and usually, are either part of it, or on the take.
I have experience dealing with Tribal police departments, and they are usually less than cooperative with outside police agencies.

Like Dem☭crats, always plotting...
Gotta wonder how much they haven’t caught.
Maybe many of the local gov’t was on the take in this operation.
They had it done to them by the British in the 19th century ... and have long memories.
Revenge is a dish best served cold.
So ... I guess we’re justified in taking revenge on the Chinese.
At any time in the future. At our convenience.
Many states (including NY’s New York City) have received Chinese seed packages. These have harmful, invasive species.
