If Rand has a problem with Trump’s ballroom, he is begging to be primaried.
Building the East Wing didn’t get Congressional approval did it?
Gee NO ONE bitched when Obama built a 400 MILLION DOLLAR TAX DOLLAR FUNDED basketball court at the White House that ONLY he used, that was fine cause hey it was Saint Barry but a ballroom that can be used by EVERYONE regardless of whose in office OMG OMG THE END OF THE WORLD NO NO NO NOT A BALLROOM
Here we go. Another big ol’ battle over various and sundry options typical for any sitting American President.
These days, the state of Kansas is often a swampland full of Snapping Turtles.
If they don’t approve the privately funded ballroom let them pay for it.

So throw your hat in the ring and primary him. It’s a conservative principle to follow the Constitution and our laws - and even our government customs.
As least in regard to the “Ballroom” Trump has not engaged any of the people responsible for the stewardship of our federal property, which will turn out to be a big mistake for him before this is over.
That’s the President’s house. He can do what he wants with it.
What a waste of my time that article was to read.
right, a canvas tent was more appropriate...so was a basketball court, where Big Mike would dunk over Barry all day long.
*eeeew*
Obama converted an existing tennis court to basketball
One of Trump’s faults is he lacks taste and likes ugly gaudy gold plated nonsense. The only hope is he doesn’t do anything too permanent that can’t be fixed back
-which will turn out to be a big mistake for him before this is over.-
Geez! There are a lot of things around the world that keeps him busy. The Ballroom problem is not making his radar screen.
By the way, what are they going to do about it?
Nothing!
Maybe Trump can entice Paul with a Porta-Potty named in his honor.
You actually believe that a long-time real estate mogul renovating the White House didn't consult anyone before hand? Are you that gullible?
A large portion of the East Wing has already been demoed. What are they going to say, “Leave it as is and we’ll put it back the way it was after we get the tax dollars to pay for it. By the way, that’ll cost... nine hundred million dollars and my wife’s nephew will do the work.”
For what it’s worth, Trump didn’t need anyone’s permission to tear it down. Not a single soul, because the White House is exempted from the Section 106 review process of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. The Chair of the committee in charge of all this stuff even said so. Plans will have to be approved by that committee when it comes to build though.
The media and Democrats are trying to get people to conflate the “East Wing” with the “East Room” - two very different things. The White House itself has not been touched.
It’s not “Trumps Ball Room.”
It will belong to the American people and will be used by future presidents who haven’t been born yet.
Karoline Leavitt made the comments while answering questions from a reporter during a White House press briefing. Demolition crews began tearing into the East Wing of the White House on Tuesday. By Wednesday, much of the facade had been stripped away, prompting outcry from preservationists and some former officials along with questions from reporters. The White House stated earlier this week that the project is aimed at modernizing and rebuilding the East Wing, which houses the first lady's offices and serves as an entrance for official guests.'How Did That Rubble Get There?':
