Republicans in Columbus had one job: draw a congressional map that reflects the voters who elected them.
When President Trump called on GOP-led states to fight as hard as Democrats do in redistricting, Ohio was supposed to be part of that charge. Instead, it answered his call with surrender, handing Democrats a "compromise" map they didn't even have to ask for.
Is the issue settled or can it be brought up again? DeWine probably has something to do with it. We could pick up 3 seats if the rino legislators were identified and voted out.
Democrats play to win.

I would say Michigan has Ohio beat in the Rino awards.

I live in Ohio. It is and has always been a Deep State swing state by design. Most of our governors over the years have been in the top 5 in the US for receiving the most campaign money from out of state.

Ohio is a purple state and it seems like we tend to elect RINOs to keep from feeling “extreme”. Look at DeWine, it would be hard to find a bigger RINO.

How long will people delude themselves making excuses for rhinos? It’s not cowardice, they aren’t spineless. They’re simply on the other side. In many places libs know it’s easier to put on a flag pin and pretend to be Republican in order to get elected.
It works well and will continue until people quit pretending about their motives.
This time around the democraps are running Dr. Amy Acton (DeWhine’s Director of Public Health during COVID) for governor. She ordered polls closed for the 2020 presidential primary resulting in mail-in voting.
Definitely a weird state politically. I was actually surprised we elected Vance as Senator. We tend to elect squishier types. I was so ticked at how DeWine handled Covid that I left the governor spot blank when he ran for reelection.
Need to wait until “DeWine” is replaced by a GOP Governor with gonads!

They are afraid of what happens to them after the Big Guy is gone. Their Democrat frenemies may be in charge and they will have to suffer the continued opprobrium of the chattering classes. IOW, they are not even close to being “all in”. It’s just a job to them.

So do RINOs, if it’s a left-wing cause; they play to win anything that makes the left stronger.
Same as the state on your northern border, sometimes the RINOs are so bad people don’t even go to the polls...I am one of those on local politicians. When you can’t discern a difference between right and wrong there is no point in voting, the lesser of evils doesn’t work any more.
