FBI Director Kash Patel called out sports commentator Stephen A. Smith on Thursday after the pundit suggested the arrests in connection with the NBA sports betting scandal were revenge for perceived anti-President Trump activism.
Speaking with Fox News’s Laura Ingraham, Patel called Smith’s claim “the single dumbest thing that I have ever heard out of anyone in modern history, and I lived most of my time in Washington D.C.”
“It’s right up there with Adam Schiff,” Patel said, referring to the Democratic senator from California. “We arrest people for crimes.”
After the news of the arrests broke, Smith in an appearance on ESPN gave an ominous warning: “Trump is coming.”

Leftists/wokies/Democrats can't tell the difference between cleaning the Augean Stables and revenge.
But what else would anyone expect? They can't tell the difference between a man and a woman.
Plumley ball sucks
Check for Smith’s involvement.
Lebron James has been dragged into this mess but only as it relates to inside information about his injuries from a friend.
Apparently, the King of Flopping’s antics were not related to trying to rig a game for profit...just related to him trying to win. LOLOL
so much for his political sobriety
Any “journalist” who pulls crap like this should be fired. It is a malicious lie. Their media should lose its license.
Arrests of illegal aliens, murderers, rapists, child molesters. child rapists, human traffickers, drug dealers, extortionist, kidnappers, blowing up drug boats in route to the USA, etc. = Trumps fault = true.
I fail to see the problem.
Why did the head of the FBI need to respond to Stephen Smith’s remarks at all? Stephen is paid to talk about what his opinions are. Let him talk. Otherwise, this exchange only works to raise the media profile of Stephen Smith.
“Oh, so is Trump’s White House now at war with motor mouth Stephen Smith? I didn’t know till now.”
I understand this case originated over a year ago, long before Donald Trump was sworn into office. The Biden administration has probably been slow-walking it.
Smith is slightly brighter than a typical Democrat, but he’s still a dolt.
<< Why did the head of the FBI need to respond to Stephen Smith’s remarks at all? >>
He was asked about it by Laura Ingraham in an interview on Fox.
Trump bet the over and lost. Thus, revenge!
The only prop bet that should be allowed is the over. Then it requires the best performance and discourages shaving output. IMO. AND pro leagues getting a cut of gambling proceeds is bull💩. Again IMO. Can anyone say Black Sox’s scandal. DUH.
NBA corruption hits Stephen A where he lives. The revelation that major American professional sports are totally fraudulent means the end of his career. Of course he is going to lash out at everyone involved.
People do things for money. What they will stoop to do for a price is no different. It reminds me of this:
There is a famous story about sex and money that I have heard in myriad variations. A man asks a woman if she would be willing to sleep with him if he pays her an exorbitant sum. She replies affirmatively. He then names a paltry amount and asks if she would still be willing to sleep with him for the revised fee. The woman is greatly offended and replies as follows:
She: What kind of woman do you think I am?
He: We’ve already established that. Now we’re just haggling over the price.
Stephan A. Has proved this for a long time.
Stephan A is A idiot.
Mike Florio and Michael Holley react to the FBI’s arrests of NBA figures in a gambling investigation and explain why the NFL should be concerned about a similar issue.
