The New York Times Wants An America Without Americans
The Federalist ^ | October 22, 2025 | Brianna Lyman

Posted on 10/22/2025 7:12:13 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

On Tuesday, Leighton Woodhouse wrote for The New York Times that conservatives are “spinning” a “mythology” that is “historically delusional.”

The delusional mythology Woodhouse is referring to? The belief that Americans are a “group of people with a shared history.”

According to Woodhouse, “The founding fathers were an assortment of people from different histories and backgrounds who coexisted — often just barely.” These “different” histories, however, were all rooted in Christianity. But Woodhouse wants readers to believe that this type of variety in Christianity proves America was born out of a multicultural diversity experiment.

Of course it wasn’t. The colonists shared a common language, moral framework, and writ large, a lineage. Yet Woodhouse insists otherwise.

The United States isn’t exceptional because of our common cultural heritage; we’re exceptional because we’ve been able to cohere despite faiths, traditions and languages that set us apart, and sometimes against one another. The drafters of the Constitution tried to create that cohesion by building a government that could transcend our divisions.

In other words, Woodhouse is arguing that America is not the product of Americans at all. Rather, it’s just a cosmopolitan conglomerate held together by particular processes but not people. It’s why Woodhouse invokes “Mexican, Korean, Somalian” “anestries” as similar examples of American heritage just like English, Irish, and Scottish settlers. The implication of course is that America would be just as American even without “heritage Americans.”

But that’s not how nations work. As The Federalist’s John Daniel Davidson wrote in these pages, the very premise of the entire American legal and civic culture emerged from the specifically Christian claim that “All men are created equal,” and such conviction “arrived in America by way of settlers and pioneers who came here specifically to establish a nation where they could practice...”

We are literally in the middle of a revolution, a true revolution. So many people have come out of the woodwork and want all conservative/Bible-based U.S. citizens dead. I have seen that so many times in what they have said and write that it is an obvious goal. We are at the very edge of what is about to happen...the killing on a large scale just hasn’t happened yet. However, leftist communists who are found everywhere and in all institutions are trying with all of their might to get it started.

I think most people believe that a bunch ow shite supremacist showed up around 1750 and stole everything from the indians. William Penn showed up 100 years before the revolution.

Actually
In 1681, King Charles II granted an area of land corresponding to the present-day U.S. states of Pennsylvania and Delaware to Penn to offset debts he owed Penn’s father, the admiral and politician Sir William Penn. The following year, Penn left England and sailed up Delaware Bay and the Delaware River, where he founded Philadelphia on the river’s western bank

The second amendment makes it tough for them to implement large scale killing though.

“We are at the very edge of what is about to happen...the killing on a large scale just hasn’t happened yet. “

And though nobody can seem to believe it, Trump will be here 3.5 more years and one day the Democrat communists WILL return to power, and they will point to Trump and unleash a vicious communist depredation on America.

January 6 was a mere warm up for them.

Don’t believe anything the NY Slimes writes. They’ve been caught up in so many lies and half-truths.

Not much of America left in New York with so many third world people in it now.

We have to destroy the Democratic machine before they regain power otherwise it’s gulags for White America. We dodged that bullet twice already but they are relentless. The prophesy of a NWO won’t be denied; it’s coming. Pray we are spared the worst of it.

Sarcasm can sometimes be a little hard to "hear" in memes.

I have been saying this for years. COVID proved it. They openly admit they want to replace us and kill us.

Not really. The New York settlers spoke Dutch, as is reflected in many of their place names. Later arrivals after Providence and the English settlers of Jamestown but before the Revolution spoke Irish, Scottish or Welsh Gaelic and other languages, including Swedish (there's an historic Old Swedes church in colonial Philadelphia).

This is a key misunderstanding two major American racial groups have of one another—neither whites nor blacks are monoethnic. Despite nearly all “white” colonists united by some form of Christianity, many “whites” had to learn English to form an American society—the English language became an agreed-upon medium of communications, it was not mere “whiteness.”

The colonial-era “blacks” also were not monoethnic, but came from several African lands, cultures and languages. At Founding, Christianity had not yet permeated Africa, but it was taught or conveyed to Africans who arrived here in bondage, and continued unrivaled among bonded and free blacks for over 300 years until the 1960s.

I disagree. There will be no great killing whether by civil war or revolution. Why not? You need men on both sides for that. The dems drove out all their men. They do still have murderers and assassins. But those don’t stand for war. They work in the shadows.

Trumps instinctive courage, astounding energy, warrior spirit, intelligence, street smarts, deep vision and winning ways is reshaping the republic despite the loud protests of the enemy. The man is as competent as Elon Musk. But in different ways.
