Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy might have come to the White House for Tomahawks, but President Donald Trump and he agreed against escalation and a move toward peace, with Trump issuing a directive to Russia and Ukraine to "stop where the are."

"The meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine was very interesting, and cordial, but I told him, as I likewise strongly suggested to President Putin, that it is time to stop the killing, and make a DEAL!" Trump wrote Friday night on Truth Social.

"Enough blood has been shed, with property lines being defined by War and Guts. They should stop where they are.

"Let both claim Victory, let History decide!

"No more shooting, no more Death, no more vast and unsustainable sums of money spent. This is a War that would have never started if I were President. Thousands of people being slaughtered each and every week — NO MORE, GO HOME TO YOUR FAMILIES IN PEACE!"

Zelenskyy spoke to the media after the meeting at the White House and signed off on the call for a ceasefire versus the "escalation" of Tomahawk cruise missiles.

"President Trump is right: We have to stop where we are," Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy said the war can "hopefully" end "without thinking about Tomahawks," reportedly planning to request increased intelligence sharing from U.S. as a part of long-sought security guarantees...

It is what it is...a stand off...

Trump is absolutely right...and I bet the EU agrees with him.

The problem is "Z"...says no land for Russia....except they have it already. Like Duh...

To the victor goes the spoils...from the beginning of time.

Good.
After details of a permanent truce are agreed to by both sides, then the fighting can stop.....
The most difficult task is negotiating whether or not Z-ski has to give up the remainder of Donetsk. the other stuff is mostly straightforward.

No, the EU is the problem

That is correct.

The EU's problem is it has too many knives stuck in America's back, there might not be room for more.

An observation. Just as these Unites States are different under the idiot Biden and under President Trump, so will the two non-NATO nations of Ukraine and Russia be different by degree when government leaderships change.

It is interesting as we watch the European "elite" attempting to hold on to power, such that the AfD in Germany or Reform in the UK are being treated as anathemas in their own nations. Were either to win big in coming elections, and a change from the coalition in Germany or current mess in the UK to new and different leadership, things in Europe would certainly change.

Just so in non-NATO land. Change would be welcome for some, and an anathema for others. This is all the more amusing, as one watched the EU elite try topple European governments they don't like. Seems like a far more tangled web of intrigue than we are shown in the media.

every week or two Trump finally gets it and start to talk sense in regards to Russia, only to fall back into nonsense the next week.

Ukraine is never going to just Russia take most of its land. Period.

Obviously and Undeniably Correct.

Not that this would have any effect on those arrogantly leading the Cults of One that are the sole arbiters of Truth.

It is interesting as we watch the European "elite" attempting to hold on to power, such that the AfD in Germany or Reform in the UK are being treated as anathemas in their own nations.

Their comedy is so good they should get paid for displaying it in public.

Smarter than the "European Elite", the media Do get paid for the public display of their comedy.

:)

You need to complete your sentences and control the future.

Hitting the Kremlin with Tomahawks isn’t gonna happen. Curses, foiled again.

For one thing, the Ukrainian Constitution forbids Z-Man conceding any land. A referendum for an Amendment to said Constitution is not completely impossible, but is a steep climb, and all the outside parties would attempt to interfere, which I suspect the Ukrainians will riot over. Good luck with holding a n election / referendum under such circumstances.

It appears to me that everyone has gone into BS mode. Pooty is trying to woo Trump with a proposal to build a tunnel under the Artic, to the US. Gee, Pooty must really be getting desperate. Zelenskyy appears to have learned from Trump and varies his public statements to work his audience of the moment. Trump is... Trump.

Does anyone seriously think Z-Man is going to go back to Kyiv and tell his generals to lay off counter-strikes on Russian oil infrastructure? Does anyone seriously think Trump seriously expects that, or will pull US intel as things now stand?

Did anyone think we likely have, at PRESENT, land launchers to spare, for Tomahawks? (With a new source having popped up, I think maybe we could in a few months, but, likely not sooner. I suspect Trump wants the Germans to send Taurus first, and Germany wants US to send Tomahawks 1st.

One thing however is NOT BS. The vid of a Ukie nighttime strike on a large Russian fuel depot in Crimea, a few days ago, was very interesting. First, the drone’s thermal imaging is good enough to clearly reveal how full a big storage tank of fuel (or oil too, for that matter) is. So, the Ukies can target tanks substantially filled with fuel or oil, and not waste effort on empty tanks. Even where to hit the tank can be optimized. I assume the Russians have similar tech, or are close behind.

But, more to the point, all the tanks in that depot, but one, were empty.
