President Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a tense meeting on Friday that he doesn't intend to provide long-range Tomahawk missiles, at least for now, two sources briefed on the meeting tell Axios.
Behind the scenes: One of the sources said the meeting "was not easy," while the other simply said "it was bad."
"Nobody shouted, but Trump was tough," according to the first source. "Trump gave several strong statements during meeting and at some points it got a bit emotional," the second source said.
Awwww - it was tough on the little sociopath - he was SO looking forward to murderink innocent civilians.
Oh, well - he can go back to killink his own sojers in meat-wave attacks against the Russinks...

Trump is holding off on Tomahawks pending outcome of meeting with Russians. Ife he can get war settled without selling Tomahawks , so be it. If not, he will sell them.

It’s a delicate balance. Since Putin is being prickly Trump has had to warm up to Zelensky. But no way do we want to be supplying them with missiles to hit Moscow. We have to give them enough to hold their lines, supply routes, and to cause casualties on the front lines while defending Ukrainian troops so that Russian forces take the brunt of the attrition - just enough to exhaust Russia and bring them to the table.
If the rumors that Putin is in a box from hard liners in his own government, then we have to give Putin the metaphorical ammo to go to them and say “look fellas, they’re not gonna break and we can’t advance. Let’s cut a deal to keep what we got”.
Not sure but I think Israel took out much of the Iranian drone supply - some of that was coming from a factory in Syria north of Lebanon during a commando raid. Russia can survive economically but can they continue militarily is the question on the table. We want the war to end, we are not here to help Zelensky get vengeance.
If it’s true India is out of the Russian oil business (a big if) Russia only has China left as a major buyer. And it’s definitely not a good idea to drive Russia closer to China. Was a horrible decision made by Hillary and Biden and Obama a decade ago. But here we are.

The missiles would have done nothing, but their absence will probably bring down Zelensky, as a psychopath loser that he is. And elections will be called on to oust him or maybe a coup. This was Zelensky’s last card.
Trump is no better than Biden; just making sure Ukraine is not aided enough to get Putin to stop, while conversationally acting as an ally. “Peace” “in place” at the present status does not and will not end the war. In one, two, three years time Putin will start it again; giving anything Ukraine has done to bolster its defenses as an excuse.

That is my thought as well, this is Putin’s final chance, if all else fails he will sell it to them. Heck even many on the left dont want tomahawks to be given to Ukraine
