Breaking — Trump phone call with Putin leads to ‘great progress on Ukraine.’
Truth Social ^ | October 16, 2025 | President Trump

Posted on 10/16/2025 11:04:37 AM PDT by Red Badger

I have just concluded my telephone conversation with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, and it was a very productive one. President Putin congratulated me and the United States on the Great Accomplishment of Peace in the Middle East, something that, he said, has been dreamed of for centuries. I actually believe that the Success in the Middle East will help in our negotiation in attaining an end to the War with Russia/Ukraine. President Putin thanked the First Lady, Melania, for her involvement with children. He was very appreciative, and said that this will continue. We also spent a great deal of time talking about Trade between Russia and the United States when the War with Ukraine is over. At the conclusion of the call, we agreed that there will be a meeting of our High Level Advisors, next week. The United States’ initial meetings will be led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, together with various other people, to be designated. A meeting location is to be determined. President Putin and I will then meet in an agreed upon location, Budapest, Hungary, to see if we can bring this “inglorious” War, between Russia and Ukraine, to an end. President Zelenskyy and I will be meeting tomorrow, in the Oval Office, where we will discuss my conversation with President Putin, and much more. I believe great progress was made with today’s telephone conversation.

So what happened to all those previous deadlines and the Anchorage Summit?

Just more of the same ol' same ol...meetings about future meetings, i.e. the Putin Hokey-Pokey.

So when did Putin agree to fully withdraw Russian military forces from Ukraine and Crimea?

“to see if we can bring this “inglorious” War, between Russia and Ukraine, to an end”

What’s your problem? You want us to not seek peace with these nuts?

“””What’s your problem? You want us to not seek peace with these nuts?””””

Some people don’t understand how negotiations work. They think we should just fire up the nukes and get on with WW3.

Trump needs to put more ‘squeeze’ on Vlad the Invader. Vlad had his chances, squandered them, and got many brave Russians killed. When Vlad wants out of his disaster before his own people come for him, then it’s time to talk. If I were Trump I would plan on Tomahawks going to Ukraine until Vlad says he will end the war.

So what was Anchorage all about then?

Tried and failed.

They think it doesn’t affect them I guess. Or they think their opinion matters in the negotiation process

It’s like going past an accident. Don’t look. Drive. You want to get in on it, go become an ent and you can go on an accident call otherwise your job is to drive

People think the media tells us everything about what’s going on in negotiations. That’s silly

.. about the same time Ukraine decided to stop fleecing Russia for is own oil traveling through pipelines that Ukraine didn’t create.

Also about the same time it became clear that the Biden crime family leveraged or own might to get rich.

And around about the same time that NATO started to talk annoy changing its borders for no other reason than to get in on that action.

Putin is a criminal gangster. Like Jabba the Hutt. Corrupt to his core. Like, African dictator style. The Russia he has created since taking over is a lot like the Democrat vision of the US. A few years he took on the “Russia first” stance. He was originally in office on the reunification platform for the USSR, and he’s finally doing it.

There are no good people in this war. Only millions of people dying for the wealth of a few known international super villains.

Let’s hope that’s the end result, because that’s how I would define great progress.

What makes you think the pentagon tells us everything that’s going on via the media?

I was in a war and we still didn’t get information and I was a junior officer

Need to know.

Zelensky can quit depending on Trump, get out of defensive positions,
go on offense and take ALL HIS LAND back from Ruzzia.

I got the message. WW3 is about to Start.
Neocons and Zeepers love Bloodshed, as long as it is not THEIR Blood
of their FAMILIES Blood being Shed.

The most important conversation needed with Putin has nothing to do with Zelensky.

The Russians have proposed a 1 year extension of the New Start Treaty, whilst another is hammered out.

That is 1000X more important than Ukraine and the situation could be delicate in that there are Lindsey Graham types in Congress who might object to anything at all with Russia.

Truth be told, and as is probably being grasped right about now, only people China will allow to have magnets can do anything whatsoever — and this will soon extend to civilian activities, too.
