Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s Friday announcement that the U.S. will host a new Qatari air force facility in Idaho has drawn the ire of the Trump administration’s closest allies, including Laura Loomer, who said she felt “betrayed” over the matter.
In a flurry of social media posts Friday afternoon, Loomer unleashed on the administration’s announcement that it had signed the letter greenlighting the building of a Qatar Emiri air force contingent at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in southwestern Idaho. The air arm of Qatar’s armed forces, Qatar Emiri air force pilots would train to fly F-15s in the U.S.
“There isn’t a single Trump supporter who supports allowing Qatar to have a military base on US soil,” Loomer posted to the social platform X. “I don’t know who told President Trump this was a good idea, but it has made people not want to vote.”
She also wrote that “no foreign country should have a military base on US soil. Especially Islamic countries.”
In another post about Hegseth, she admonished him as he “should know how bad of an idea it is to allow Terror financing Qataris who fund HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood to have an AIR FORCE BASE ON US SOIL.”
“I don’t think I’ll be voting in 2026” over the issue, she added.
Loomer, a staunch supporter of Trump, has made no secret of her disdain for Qatar and other countries with a majority Muslim population

What to make? I trust Trump and Pete. Laura Loomer adds value in many ways, but she’s another one straddling the line of insanity who thinks she wields more influence than she does. She’s also an attention wh*re.

Didn’t the Germans pull out of their base in New Mexico? That would seem to be a better base for year round training, and the climate would be familiar.
Nothing, really. Qatari pilots are not the ones who maintain, arm, or service the planes. They walk away from them like they are just things.
Once back in country they will fall apart like they always do, if they are not hiring good people to maintain them and arm them.
In a war, you don’t target the planes, you target the support. The Arabs haven’t quite figured that out yet.
Additionally, Qatar is far more worried about Iran. They have begun letting the Israelis do their thing over there because they know that the best lever against Iran is Israel. And it is F-15s. Not the latest and greatest in the air. And it seems Qatar is picking up a lot of the bill, to train their pilots, to use against Iran.

We NEED allies in the middle east. Russia and China have Iran and others under their wing and are trying to get India.
China is a huge problem. We may need saudi and Qatari fliers and others when China makes it’s move to usurp the south China sea islands.
Does Loomer think outside the box?
