While President Donald Trump has stopped short of sending National Guard troops into Chicago, the Department of Homeland Security is doing some major damage against illegal aliens being harbored in the area.

The work has been dangerous for Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, who have been under siege by local activists and criminal aliens.
"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were targets of two separate vehicular assaults in the Chicago metro area. In Bensenville, Illinois and again in Norridge, IL criminal illegal aliens weaponized their vehicles in deliberate attempts to ram and injure officers carrying out their sworn duty to uphold our nation’s immigration laws," DHS released in a recent statement.
"In the first assault in Norridge, IL, Miguel Escareno De Loera, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, rammed his vehicle into an ICE law enforcement vehicle twice. He then jumped a curb and crashed his car into a stop sign—ending his violent assault," the statement details. "Escareno De Loera entered the United States at an unknown date and unknown location, without inspection by an immigration official. In the second instance, Widman Osberto Lopez-Funes, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, rammed his vehicle into ICE agents during a targeted enforcement operation, and then exited the vehicle and fled into his residence in Bensenville, IL. This criminal illegal alien was later arrested on scene without incident."
Operation Midway Blitz started in mid-September and is still opposed by Democrat Governor JB Pritztker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. According to Trump, a National Guard troop deployment is still on the table as attacks...

Come to think of it, as the Federal authorities clear Chicago of the worst criminal illegal trespassers, the homegrown gangs and thugs should be thanking the Feds. Their territories and profits will increase. If they just lay low enough for a while, they will prosper in the long run.
And the kickbacks to all of the politicians could increase as well.

Arrest and prosecute them too. They're committing criminal acts.
Round up and arrest the top city officials for harboring these fugitives. Give them the max penalty, and charge them for 1000's of individual counts.
They should be declared domestic terrorists and rounded up as well.

They are in serial violation of immigration statutes and should be indicted, prosecuted and imprisoned.
DHS needs to supply the necessary firepower to immediately terminate the siege by local activists and criminal aliens.
Ill. Gov JB Pritzker and his puppet Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson seem to be more interested in keeping the crime rate in Chicago super high rather that admit they are failures at governing. Of course it appears to be voter stupidity that keeps electing and re-electing loser Democrats for governor and mayor that promise the world and deliver nothing except more crime.
Use bonuses for ICE. Every deportee they collar is 1000 bonus.
Let’s not call it damage… The damage was done when these people were allowed into this country with no identification, no vetting and quickly disappeared into the shadows except for when they needed to show up at a benefits office to sign up for what they “were entitled to” as illegals
I prefer to call this cleaning up the damage
