Four top prosecutors have been forced out of the Eastern District of Virginia amid Trump’s push to charge political opponents.

Lawyers inside the high-profile U.S. attorney’s office prosecuting former FBI director James B. Comey are unnerved by what they see as an unprecedented push by President Donald Trump to inject politics into their staffing and charging decisions, according to three people familiar with the matter, a strategy they say could jeopardize national security investigations.

The Justice Department in recent days fired two longtime prosecutors who had risen to leadership positions within the U.S. attorney’s office for the Eastern District of Virginia, said the three people, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals. The firings came shortly after Trump installed a new interim U.S. attorney in the district, Lindsey Halligan, who got a grand jury to indict Comey last week despite objections from career prosecutors who deemed the evidence too flimsy.

Maya D. Song, a 12-year veteran of the office who until recently was its second-highest-ranking leader, was demoted to a line prosecutor position last month and then fired in recent days, the people said. Michael P. Ben’Ary, who had a decade of experience in the office and was serving as chief of its national security unit, also was fired, the people said.

Ben’Ary and Song had worked as senior advisers to Lisa Monaco, who was deputy attorney general, the No. 2 post in the Justice Department, during the Biden administration. Trump last week called on Microsoft to fire Monaco from her position as president of global affairs, calling her one of “the architects of the worst ever Deep State Conspiracies against our Country.”

Ben’Ary and Song did not respond to requests for comment. Halligan did not respond to an email request for comment. A spokesman for...

“””Four top prosecutors have been forced out of the Eastern District of Virginia”””

It’s a start. Hopefully many more will be replaced.

Don’t care. Come and kill me. If God wills, I would serve at the pleasure of the President to hunt EVERY ONE OF YOU down and see that you face justice.

Did these "lawyers" have someone take the bar exam in their place? Are they all possessed of room temperature IQs?

When straightforward, time-honored crimes that have been successfully prosecuted for decades can be documented against Corney and his ilk, it's not injecting politics nor even if it were, has no right to be called "unprecedented," as the Clinton, Obama, and Biden Administrations have been well-recognized to have set those awful politicized precedents.

Did Strzok, Lisa Page, Rosenstein, McCabe and Clinesmith not already set the bar quite high as they long ago work toward jeopardizing FISA and national security investigations?

“Four top prosecutors have been forced out of the Eastern District of Virginia amid Trump’s push to charge political opponents.” NO, NO, NO. They don’t get to define reality here. It is not a push to charge political opponents. It is a push to charge CRIMINALS against the people of the United States of America!!!

Prosecuting your former boss is not a wise career move for any lawyer. Ugly landscape of reality, there.

I read the entire article.

I scanned over it a second time.

Could not find the name of AG Blondi.

Why?

Maybe the Amazon Post was reporting accurately which doesn’t occur very often and Blondi wasn’t involved in the moves.

Maybe the Amazon Post got no respect for Blondi and didn’t want to give her credit.

Maybe the Amazon Post’s TDS caused them to put all the blame on Trump.

However Trump did make it clear that the person he fired in order to get Comey’s indictment was his decision.

Looks like Harrigan fired the correct people.

They were fine with democrats doing actual legal political witchhunts.

Oh, I see, they were ok with it then, they don’t want to have real, justice come after the democrats who twisted justice before.

They should just say its ok to prosecute republican, but not democrats.

Maya Song, 12 year veteran... puts her coming on board in 2013, during the Obama admin.
Obama was not at all shy about being partisan.

So those ‘forced out’ were pre-positioned by the prior admin or the Obola regime to neutralize any honest investigation and indictment of the woke-tard players in Dc, eh?
