The US Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed embattled Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook to remain in her chair for now.
The high court will hear the case in January 2026 and allow Lisa Cook to keep her job in the meantime.
This also means Lisa Cook will be able to participate in December’s interest rate meeting.

Unbelievable!
It’s what punters do.
Punt.
This doesn’t bother me too much. Trump has an aggressive strategy with challenging the court decisions and we have to expect to lose a couple (as I’m sure he does too). This is only at the injunction stage too. But if he loses this case at the fully hearing, I won’t be too upset. I never expected Trump to have the power to fire Federal Reserve governors so if this is the battle he loses, I don’t view it as too bad.
It makes you wonder just what they used to do before Donald Trump?
has she been officially charged w/mortgage fraud - or just referred to DOJ?
cut her pay to $1
as I expected.
Me either, the more Trump trashes Cook the more he can trash the whole bunch. Plus congress created this mess of a bureau so congress can take it way, this is going to be the fun part.

Aid and abet America’s enemy within....
the Democrats.
Which they’re still doing, btw.
Just referred..................so far..........
Find another cause, and fire her again.
Her crime has been exposed, she is therefore malleable. She is done as a Fed gov...we’re just haggling over the date. In the interim, she will learn first hand the art of the deal.
This is going to be a direct challenge to two cases that the liberal judiciary has been misrepresenting since Trump took office. I bet that SCOTUS turns Humphrey’s Executor and Wiener v. United States on their heads, and delivers a proper smackdown to the district courts.
At least I hope they do.
Well what are they waiting for then? Charge her with mortgage fraud.
Did the U.S. request a supersedeas bond from Cook for the costs of her salary during the USSC appeal if she ultimately loses (and as a consequence the original firing date is re-instated)?
has she been officially charged w/mortgage fraud - or just referred to DOJ?”
Another DOA referral to Blondi’s DOJ.
I wouldn’t allow her to guard the chicken coop.
A Department within the Government that is allowed to operate independently must hold it’s leadership and members to a higher standard of accountability than any Department that is not allowed to operate independently. This kind of privilege must be earned, not expected.
