A 29-year-old man, Joshua Jahn, with ties to North Texas and Oklahoma has been identified as the suspect in a shooting at a Dallas ICE detention center. Two people were killed in the shooting. The suspect is also deceased. The investigation is ongoing, and police have not yet released a motive for the shooting.
According to FOX News and FOX 4 sources, the sniper who killed at least two people at the Dallas ICE facility early Wednesday morning was 29-year-old Joshua Jahn.
A sniper died from a self-inflicted gunshot early Wednesday morning after he shot three ICE detainees at a Dallas ICE facility from a rooftop, according to law enforcement.
Records show his parents live in the Collin County city of Fairview.
SKY 4 captured images of FBI agents outside that home on Wednesday afternoon and FOX 4 reporters saw what appeared to be frantic family members.
Dallas police confirmed that Fairview police are assisting with their investigation.
Jahn may have been living in Durant, Oklahoma.
Law enforcement officials were seen parked outside a home connected to Jahn in Durant on Wednesday afternoon.
He was arrested in 2015 in Collin County for marijuana possession.
The shooting happened around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Dallas ICE facility located on North Stemmons Freeway.
A gunman shot three ICE detainees. Two of those detainees have died, and the third is in critical condition.
Police sources told FOX 4 the sniper was armed with a rifle on a nearby roof. He shot himself as agents approached him...
Dallas FBI Field Office Special Agent in Charge Joe Rothrock confirmed the incident is being investigated as active, targeted violence.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced that evidence found at the scene of a deadly Dallas ICE facility shooting, including "ANTI-ICE" written across a bullet.

I have heard that he may have fired at an ICE van that happened to be full of detainees, but have not seen an official statement.
Trying to please his mom maybe, sadly. No excuse there he is a very much grown man.

They omit that his social media shows he’s a member of ANTIFA and a commie.
News media and law enforcement should tell us the rest.

Asst Director of ICE was on Fox News around 1530 EDT and indicated she had info that the assailant had fired numerous rounds at the entire ICE facility, many of which penetrated the building walls, in addition to the rounds that hit the van.
It appear the weapon was most likely an M1 Garrand rifle based upon the stripper clips shown in the FBI photo ...but that’s just my own guess not ICE info.
