GOP's Jack Ciattarelli Edges Out Democrat Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey Poll

Republican Jack Ciattarelli held a single-point lead over Democratic Representative Mikie Sherrill in new internal poll of the New Jersey gubernatorial race.

Newsweek reached out to the Ciattarelli and Sherrill campaigns for comment via email.

We all should be watching this race carefully, as well as the governor's race in VA.

There's been lots of talk about how the Democrats are imploding nationwide, but it's just talk. We really do not know if the political battle lines have shifted or not with all the events thus far in 2025.

If the Democrats win both NJ and VA, that is clear evidence nothing has really changed.

No, it is good. The Democrat has been up 10-15 points in the bogus polling to this point. Now that we're getting close to the election, they have to at least pretend to be accurate to maintain credibility.
