71% of French citizens oppose immediate recognition of a Palestinian state before the release of hostages and the surrender of Hamas, according to a survey published by the council representing Jewish organizations in the country.

Only 29% of French respondents support the immediate recognition of a Palestinian state. The survey also found that 68% of the public views antisemitic acts not only as a threat to Jews in the country but as a broader threat to French society.

By contrast, 19% stated that actions against the Jewish public in France over the Gaza conflict are legitimate. Notably, the share among 18- to 24-year-olds who hold this view stands at about 31%.

The French are fed up with Muslims in their own country.

It is funny that they keep taking boats from France to England. They must give more benies. Or they are spreading their forces around for the coming conquest.

Well, this is a surprise. I guess the French aren’t so much inclined towards anti-Semitism anymore.

France has a number of problems which little Macron simply is trying as hard as he can to avoid. Screaming "squirrel" while pointing at theUkraine-Russia war, or lobbing President Trump continually or facing debt-related woes, France is enjoying "Macron" level turmoil.

Why is everybody wanting to recognize Palestine all of a sudden? It brings NOTHING to the table except ingrained violence. It won’t solve the middle east problem, just more solidly entrench it.

I don’t get it.

It's kinda like the old board game Risk. Once a country is conquered, you start moving armies from the conquered country to seize neighboring countries.

“”71% of French citizens oppose immediate recognition of a Palestinian state before the release of hostages and the surrender of Hamas, according to a survey published by the council representing Jewish organizations in the country.””

So, basically.... that idiot Macron is going against 71% of his constituents by calling for a recognized Palestinian state now, without any hostages release. Yep. That figures.

The globalist elites need to be introduced to an angry populace carrying torches and pitchforks (since the masses have effectively been disarmed in Europe).

France better be saved in the near future, though, considering nearly a third of their young people think French Jews need to held accountable for what happens in Gaza. Crazy idea.

Multi-party system hazard. First round of 2022 presidential election, Macron got 28% (#2 LePen 23%). So he is probably satisfying his base.

You just answered your own question. Solid entrenchment is a good thing to the European nitwittery. That way they can have a solidly entrenched bunch of bureaucrats studying the problem and thinking “deep thoughts” about how to “solve” it.

They had the yellow vest protests about higher gas taxes. They’re not even going to protest about recognizing Palestine. But they are opposed to it. No pitchforks and torches, either. Just checking boxes on a poll, which takes no commitment of time and risks nothing.
