British police have been accused of a 'dystopian' attack on free speech after an American woman was threatened with investigation - over her posts online.
Footage of the encounter has been seen more 1.3million times since it was posted last night and has sparked a furious response from campaigners.
It shows a woman, named as American cancer patient and Donald Trump supporter Deborah Anderson, being confronted in her home by Thames Valley Police.

Apologies are worthless. They are a dime a dozen. People are always apologizing about something like a bunch of idiots. Nobody in their right mind cares about apologies. They are for gullible idiots.

This poor woman was harassed by the police because one of her Facebook posts upset someone. And the police wouldn’t even tell her which Facebook post it was!
She deserves monetary compensation for this outrageous harassment. And every last official involved needs to be fired. But of course that won’t happen.
So how about if the King makes a general statement in defense of free speech? Yeah, that won’t happen either.

Remember Obama lamenting that our Constitution and Bill of Rights secured “negative liberties”?
Free speech, for example.
When they say “hate speech is non speech” and “speech is violence” they mean they want to do this here - go harass Granny for posting a meme on The Facebook.
Trump should stop by and visit her. It would make the point more effectively than all the speeches.
We were one or two presidential elections from the same thing here......and more than likely still are.
The concept of “hate speech” is dangerous for two reasons.
One, it assumes that the authorities can read what’s in a person’s mind.
And two, it can be used as a tool to negate free speech (as you noted).
Here’s the scary thing. As time goes on, “hate speech” will become more and more accepted as an actual crime. We see that happening in the UK now. And the US isn’t that far behind.
Why would they want a apology that had to be coerced?
This is exactly like a sexual harassment complaint in the US workplace. Doesn’t matter what you said or whether taken out if context or meant any wsy, the fact that the victim feels a victimization is all that matters to the law.
So now it is in politics, or religion, too.

One solution is to flood the zone with Free Speech.
For example, every single time I encounter one of these attempts to shut me up, I post the following:
islam is a totalitarian death cult founded by a child rapist.
Let them try to arrest us by the tens of millions.
Are there any platforms/channels that we, as free speech Americans, can use to troll the British law enforcement? Asking for a friend.
Now that one works for me.
Trump visiting her would save her from a 3 year stint in prison and raise his ratings with the people. Oooh, the bad ugly nasty things they’ve been saying about him over there when America stood with them during their protests last weekend.
Sadly, it won’t save the next one. Thinking one such British woman is just now getting out after 3 years in jail for the same offense.
They ain’t seen nothing yet with the new terrorist Muslim home officer.
