State Representative Adam Mathews has called for the immediate resignation of Judge Ted Berry following controversial social media comments regarding the death of Charlie Kirk.
According to Mathews, the statements, which included racially charged and politically divisive language, have been deemed a serious breach of ethical standards for judges in Ohio.
Some of the comments Judge Berry allegedly made included "Rest in Hatred & Division," "How's he feel about gun violence & gun control in Hell now," as well as a remark celebrating the race of the killer, saying, "So, a white guy killed him! Color it KARMA!"
Mathews described these as "shocking and completely unacceptable."
"A judge must be a pillar of fairness and impartiality in our community," said Mathews. "This is not the conduct of a neutral arbiter of the law; it is the behavior of a political activist who has abandoned the core principles of his office."
He expressed concern over Judge Berry's ability to remain impartial, questioning how anyone could trust the fairness of his court.
Mathews urged Judge Berry to take "an honorable action after these dishonorable statements," citing a "clear 'personal bias or prejudice'" that would necessitate disqualification under Rule 2.11, which includes public statements. He warned that the conduct casts doubt over Berry's impartiality in future cases.

Put a MAGA hat on him and tie him to a chair under a tent.
What is this guy doing in a courtroom?
Gezzuz...
Plenty of that out there. And......PDJT is the cause. WTAF? These tds clowns...😵
I’ve written before about preference cascades — where large portions of the public, often a majority, conceal their views for fear of punishment, only to reveal those views when some precipitating event takes place. Classic examples include the fall of Communist regimes, like Ceausescu’s Romania, where even Ceausescu himself thought everyone loved him until shortly before he was stood in front of a wall and shot.
Usually those happen in one direction. But in contemporary America, they’re happening in two.
The murder of Charlie Kirk at the hands of a leftist gunman has revealed that many, many more Americans — and even people elsewhere around the world — supported Charlie and his views than was commonly appreciated. New Zealanders in London danced a Haka in his honor; crowds gathered all over the United States, as well as in Rome, London, Germany, and Israel.
Charlie’s views — uniformly disparaged by the press as “far right” — are in fact mainstream, generally held by the majority of people. His assassination has caused people to step forward, and realize that the normal-American community is a huge majority.

They’re everywhere. The legal profession is infested with them. My youngest brother in law was at worst a Libertarian before he entered law school. Now he’s a very successful corporate attorney and the most brainwashed lib imaginable.
No matter which color or religion the judge is (he is a black man) his incompetence and bias make him an example of what is wrong with the judicial system all over the country.
He has his biased mind made up before any evidence, like Sotomayor and Jackson on the SCOTUS.
And his ignorant sounding poorly worded diatribe shows he is not very bright.
The message from Judge Ted Berry is:
“Support gun control or be assassinated.”
Libtards need to be fired.
Good comedy line. When's the last time you saw one of those judges somewhere? Maybe 5 out of 5,000 in articles like "Trump gets boost from overthrow of injunction against locking up child molesters."
We really need to heed Scott Adams’ advice on people like this.

Keep ‘em talking!
Definitely an impartial judge.
A guy who talks like this isn’t one I would expect to be capable of taking any “honorable actions”, nor does he deserve to be called “Your Honor”. Heaven help anyone in his court who is suspected to be “far right”, i.e. to the right of Marx.
Is that mold growing on his face?
A deeply immoral person such as this judge should be removed for that reason.
Incitement to violence after the fact must have legal consequences.
